LOGINPenelope’s POV
I held him tightly as if he would disappear. My hands were gripping the collar of his shirt as I pulled him close to me until I was sitting on his lap, our faces inches apart. My lips found his again, and I kissed him like I meant it, like I needed it. I wrapped both arms around his neck, fingers ran through his hair, I pressed my chest against his, my wet skin pressed against his warm skin, and all of the nerves in my body were on fire.
His hands hesitated but then they moved. Slowly. Deliberately.
Underneath the hem of my damp dress, his fingers brushed the skin of my thighs, making their way up, giving me goosebumps in their path.
I gasp softly against his mouth
He was fire and storm and something dangerous I couldn’t resist. And at that moment, I didn’t want to.
Not with the rain screaming outside.
Not with the shadows wrapping around us.Not when he was looking at me like I was not just a girl sitting on his lap but as a secret he was about to uncover.
I pressed my lips to his while he tasted the ocean salt on my skin. The rain was hammering against the beach hut, falling to the rhythm of my heart, wild and intense. His hands were in my hair, pulling at it as our tongues connected.
"Fuck...," he said as his lips brushed against mine. "I have wanted this all day."
I smiled at him and allowed my fingers to sweep down his chest feeling the tight muscle ripple underneath.
"Well, you've got me," I said, concentrating on pushing my body closer to his, the energy and heat coming off him was so intense, I was desperate for more.
Our lips stayed entangled. Hungry and breathless. As if breaking away would break the spell we were under.
I let my hands wander, over and over, tracing the shape of him under the thin material of his shirt, every hard shape and line I felt, fueled the fire building inside of me.
Then I felt it, his dick hard and unmistakable, pressing against my thigh.
A moan escaped my lips before I could stop it, rough and uncontrollable, the sound giving away how badly I wanted him.
He opens his mouth like he’s about to make some smug comment “Someone’s eag…”
But the words die on his tongue.
Instead, his fingers move slowly down my back, stopping at the waistband of my pant line. “Shuuu take these off,” I whisper, my voice rough with need.
He hesitates for one breath, but I don’t have time for a game. “Now,” I murmur and locked my eyes to his.
His fingers finally move. They slide under the waistband of my panties and he pulls them down my legs. I step out of them, slowly and on purpose, feeling the cool air touching my bare skin.
I’m standing there completely naked and I can feel his eyes are touching me. He steps back, eyeing every part of me, like he’s memorizing me, like he hasn’t eaten in days and I’m the only thing on the menu.
“Fuck, you’re beautiful,” he says, like his voice is thick with hunger and rough like gravel and fire.
I bite my lip. Heat rises to my cheeks even though I stand completely bare in front of him. There’s a flash of self-consciousness in me, but it’s swallowed by the way he’s looking at me like I’m sacred and sinful all at the same time.
“Damn right I am,” I replied, my eyes locking onto his.
“So stop taking time and show me you mean it.” I said softly, my gaze trailing over the lines of his body, the tension in his muscles, the way need coils in his eyes.
"So, stop fooling around, and prove it," I say softly, while I survey the lines of the body, the tension in his muscles, the way need coils in his eyes.
He closes the gap, and my breath hitches. His hands come up, warm and sure, pulling my breasts in two hands. I gasp when his thumbs brush over my nipples, already hard in anticipation. He pinches them just enough for me to let out a moan, and I can feel the ache between my legs sharpen.
"You are perfect," he said in a voice of wonder.
I closed the distance between us, and slid my hands up to the hem of his shirt. Slowly, deliberately, I take it off of him, and it falls to the ground, leaving his skin free and burning against mine.
He steps closer, hands wrapping around me, pulling my body hard against his. Our bodies slick with sweat and rain, every inch of him pressed against me, his hardness pressing against my stomach as a low moan escapes my mouth.
"Fuck, I want you," I said, my lips pressed against his ear.
He didn't wait. He wrapped his hand around my waist and lifted me until my back pressed against the wall of the beach hut. His thick cock slid deep into me, filling me up. I moaned loudly, each breath breaking into moans as my nails dug into his shoulders and pulled him against me like I would never let him go.
"You feel so good," he mumbles, pressing his mouth against my skin. His hips begin to move slowly, each thrust prolongs the heat that was building between us.
I tighten around him, my voice low and at the same time desperate, "harder."
He wastes no time, his hips snap against mine so hard and fast the beach hut shakes as my nails shoot deeper into his shoulders like claws. The rain pours down outside which swallows the sound of our bodies slapping together. But here, it was just the two of us, wild, raw, lost.
"Fuck, you're so tight," he growls, hot breath on my neck.
"Harder," I demand again as my hips move faster.
He obeyed, driving into me with a punishing pace, each thrust hitting that perfect spot, making my legs shake and my breath catch in my throat. The wet sounds of our bodies colliding echo louder, raw and desperate as he fucks me deeper, harder, like he’s trying to fuck me stupid and ruin me for anyone else.
"I'm close," I said, my voice shaky with desire.
"Same here," he said, his thrust moving even faster.
I can feel myself teetering on the edge, my body tensing with pleasure. And then, with one final thrust, I fell over the edge. My body shaking with pleasure.
“Fuck, yes,” he groaned, his hips stuttering as the release crashes over me.
We laid there in a mash of tangled limbs while the rain pounded down on the beach hut. Our breathing slowly returned to normal, hearts beating in tune.
For a while, we just laid wrapped around each other, the silence broken only by the rain drops pattering on the roof. Eventually, sleep pulled me under.
Morning came. Sunlight glimmered through the slats of the hut and washed everything in gold. I woke slowly, feeling him still coiled around me, his skin warm beneath my fingertips.
He looked peaceful and handsome, so handsome... His face was relaxed in sleep, strong jaw line, soft eye lashes gently resting on his cheeks. There was something about how calm he looked that made my heart race.
I rested there for a moment longer but knew I ought to leave. Carefully, so I wouldn't wake him. Slowly I moved, trying to pretend I was untangling myself from him without waking him. I walked my fingers across his chest, then down his arms, trying to pull away as slowly as possible. Thankfully, he remained asleep.
I yawned softly, beginning to think of the previous night, of what we'd done, of what I said. The game I was playing felt so real now, that part of me wondered if I was ready for it.
Just then, I heard footsteps outside, someone’s voice calling out “Alpha Daemon!”
Panic prickled down my spine. Quickly, I grabbed his shirt and pulled it over him to cover what little he had left uncovered. I pulled on my own clothes fast, then slipped out the back of the hut, hiding behind. I couldn’t be caught like this not now.
I stood frozen as the footsteps came closer. The voice grew louder, and then he entered.
I stayed hidden, my heart pounding, as I watched Daemon stir on the floor. His eyes fluttered open, confusion clear on his face. He looked more hungover than I expected and immediately Lucas rushed over to him, worry written all over his face.
“Hey, Lucas,” Daemon said, his voice rough but steady.
“How did you end up here? Are you okay?” Lucas asked, helping Daemon sit up.
Daemon shook his head but gave a small smile. “I’m fine. You don’t need to worry about me.”
Daemon’s eyes searched around, and for a moment he started to ask about me. “Umm, where is Pe… nvm,” he cut himself off.
I let out a quiet breath of relief, thank God he didn’t say my name out loud.
“My head hurts so bad,” Daemon told Lucas, rubbing his temples. “I can’t quite remember much… or how I got here.”
Lucas nodded, understanding. “You had a lot to drink.”
Lucas helped him sit up and got him dressed. The way Daemon moved was slow and careful, like he was trying not to make things worse.
Then Lucas’s tone grew serious. “Alpha, there’s a big problem on the ground. That’s why I’ve been looking for you since yesterday. But I saw you drive back, so I thought to check here. It’s about Callister.”
Daemon’s eyes narrowed. “What about her?”
“She’s in big trouble.”
Daemon let out a low groan, running his hand through his hair. “Oh, good Lord… how bad is it this time?”
Lucas’s voice dropped to a whisper. “Something that could lead to her death…”
CALLISTER'S POVThe silence in the western tower made it the only place accommodative enough to think. I drowned in the peace as I paced from one pillar to another, thinking of my next line of action. Odessa was somewhere in the mansion, receiving treatment. When she wakes up, she'll obviously spill everything she knows. My father will come to know that I was the driving force to this disaster. The reason why the earth cried blood, why there were skeletons lying around, and why the once glorious estate has fallen to shambles. I cared less about the corpses I was walking past and the blood I was walking through. I barely noticed any of them unless I stopped to look at the floor. Someone had taped the western tower to keep people away, which is why I became curious when the door clicked. I found the shadows close to a wall and hid, waiting for the intruder. Shoes clicked slowly against the floor, each step sending a warning to me. My claws extended while I fed on the last drop of pa
PENELOPE'S POV The stairs felt endless as Hayley guided me down. My hands stayed locked together in front of me, a shield against the nerves clawing inside my chest. The gown they gave me felt too heavy, too strange on my body. I tried to keep my breathing steady, but each step sent my heart racing harder. The sound of voices reached me before I saw the room. A low hum of chittering and laughter floated from below, rich and casual, the kind of noise made by people who felt too powerful to fear anything. My wolf curled in unease at the sound. When we reached the final step, the hall revealed itself. It was vast, pillars carved from dark stone stretched high toward a ceiling decorated with golden lamps. A long table filled the center, and around it sat men and women in fine clothes. Their faces were proud, sharp, eyes glinting with something dangerous. Wine cups clinked, silver plates gleamed, and laughter spilled across the hall. They looked nothing like rogues. No, they looked like r
MALIA'S POVThe ride back to Ironclad felt endless, but for once, I didn’t mind the silence. My body ached from every cut, every bruise, but leaning against Lucas’s side numbed it all. His warmth wrapped around me, his arm never once letting go as if I might vanish again if he loosened his grip. The night air bit cold against my skin as we moved through the woods. Lucas and I chose to use the cars, while the wolves raced ahead of us. A few of them were behind, keeping to the pace of the car and those ahead. The moon was slowly losing its light, getting swallowed by the clouds of day. The warmth it brought was supposed to feel refreshing, or at least give me a sense of relief. But it only doubled my curiosity and fear for what lay ahead, waiting for us in the pack. I closed my eyes for a moment, surrendering to the small heaven Lucas's presence created. The world outside was chaos, smoke, and blood but here, pressed into him, I felt safe. His fingers brushed against mine occasional
MALIA'S POVLight returned to the room as the door slid open. The noise stirred me from slumber, pushing my heart to the edge. Every hour I spent tied to this chair made me wonder how much time the Ironclad pack had left, and how things were going on the outside. I blinked the tears blurring my vision away, finally getting a glimpse of the woman approaching. Bianca. Her hand was stained with blood, a little of it smeared on her dress and shoes. She wore an expression I've never seen on her face before, reeking of strength. “I believe you're here to save me,” I stated right before she began working her way with the ropes around my wrist. She got them off quickly and moved to my legs. “Where's Rhaegal?” I asked. “In Ironclad, I believe,” she responded as she cut the ropes off my legs. Freedom….at last. I've never been stringed up to a chair as long as this. Even the air began to smell different as I stood up. “Which means it has started?” “Yes,” she answered. “But we brought on
PENELOPE'S POVThe silence surrounding the western tower was enough make me one assume that it was safe–untouched by the madness spreading in the other parts of the pack. For one second, I felt happiness course through me. If Daemon is safe, then the rest of the pack would be safe as well. All we needed to do was let him know the pack is under siege. But like someone always says in one of my father's meetings when I was young, ”there's no telling an alpha his duties,” We went up to the door and I was about to push it open when Ezra grabbed my hand. “Listen,” he whispered, same time, leading me away from the door. We crouched behind a pillar. “What?” “There's more than one heart beat in there. They're here already,” “You can't be so sure,” I pulled away and tried to return to the door, but he grasped my arm.“You're staying behind me all through. Don't forget,” “Daemon needs to know what's going on,” I persisted. Ezra pulled me back to the darkness with a force that threw me
CALLISTER’S POV“Alpha Duncan,” A lie that stuck at the back of my head the moment I remembered that they were not on good terms. Their heads snapped to my direction, my father's bearing the most questionable stern. “Duncan? Duncan was at the party?” “I saw when he arrived with a few council members,” I kept the lie going. “I doubt he wanted to create a scene. But….A rumor was spread in this hall, and I watched him lash out on a guard who tried stopping him from attacking Penelope,” “What role did she have to play in this?” He interrupted. I swallowed, narrating the exact statement she made. Which means…he hadn't heard it, and I am the one bringing it to his hearing first. His eyes twitched as he turned away. I noticed the way his hands trembled, like he was putting so much effort to hold back his anger. “So…Duncan lashed out on a wolf. And he decided to spread that anger to the rest of the guest,” “I wasn't here to see it all to the end. But….that's what I believe,” “That's
Daemon’s POVThe door clicked shut behind me as I entered the chamber assigned to me.Dim, quiet, and colder than expected but that didn’t matter. I wasn’t here to rest.I scanned the room with sharp eyes, noting every detail: the narrow window to the north, the tapestry along the far wall, the hea
Penelope’s POVHe settled into the chair like a king settling into her own seat on stage and spreading out, legs apart, knuckles hooked under the arms of the chair as if the chair might splinter under his fingers. Only his eyes never left mine. I strode toward him slowly, my hips moving in a delib
Ardan’s POVThe road stretched ahead like a vein, winding through the woods as our vintage car hummed quietly. The scent of aged leather and smoke lingered in the air. Duncan sat beside me, one hand on his jaw, the other tapping impatiently on his knee, staring out at the road like it had personall
Daemon’s POVSilence. Then that voice, smooth and dark like silk soaked in venom.“Gentle?” he purred. “She wants the storm, Daemon. She wants to be broken open. Filled. Claimed.”I couldn’t help it. I let out a groan, thick with need. Pictures currently clouded my mind, so real I felt. I could see
