CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE
It was recess and Liam and Jasmine were stuck on what to eat.
"I think I'll just go with a Coke," Liam said after staring at the menu for an unusual amount of time. "I don't think I'm that hungry."
"Two burgers and two cokes then," Jasmine made up her mind.
"Two burgers?"
"Yeah, me and you," she replied. "You're not starving on my watch."
They walked into the main interior of the cafeteria stylishly looking around for an empty seat. Their usual seat wasn't taken so they just walked over to it.
It was just the two of them. Nick was still nowhere to be found and Steve was sitting with friends.
After texting Steve when he got home as promised the previous day, they talked for a while about random things and ended the texts normally.
Liam took a huge bite out of his burger and immediately spotted Nick walking into the caf
