I blinked sleep from my eyes and sat up. Pushing my legs into the flip-flops that were right beside the bed left there by Mariano last night, I got up, straightened my nighties and made my way into the bathroom to brush my teeth before making my way out of the room to the pool side where Annie was still cleaning.

"Good morning Annie."

She stopped cleaning the moment she saw me. "Good morning, Mrs Lorenzo. You're up early. Should I go clean your room now?

"No, I was only going to ask you if you've seen my husband. He wasn't in our room when I woke up."

"Uh.. I think Mr. Lorenzo left early this morning before I started cleaning."
