CHAPTER 5

❤️ Timothy' POV❤️

My eyes never leaving Jennifer and that guy putting his hands on her unceasingly. I nibble on my inner cheek. My heart thumps in my chest as soon as I see the boys sitting right beside her. He wraps his hand around her and hugs her, both acting as something more than just friends and stabbing me multiple times in my chest at their intimate closeness and touches.

I swallow all the bitterness as I'm witnessing everything, his hands on her back, his body tightly pressed against her, and the way they both laugh when say something to her.

"Edward I would like you to retrieve your seat, why don't you understand when I say that I don't like any changes in my class, "I speak out with rudeness but I can't help... I get jealous whenever I see a man with her.

"Alright, Mister Holden..... Sorry...." he looks at me with narrow eyes but still complies with the command.

Even if I can't have her yet, I won't let anyone touch her and get close...

All the students have come to class.

"Good morning everyone, you can sit down." I greet my students, laying my eyes on Jennifer who hasn't decided to stop sulking. She's paying any attention in my class since that incident. She opens her book like everyone does and elbowed her desk, her gorgeous eyes never meeting mine. I glance away once I notice that Edward was looking at me while I was too focused on her. This guy better step away from her, I swear I'm not going to able to handle their closeness for any longer. I can't stand to see another man around her.

I cleared my throat and sit down on my chair and tell everyone to open their books on the last page we've arrived at yesterday and tell that that I'm going to retrieve their home works so they put their notebooks on the table.

I let the students do their work while I'm collecting their home works and finally reach Jennifer's table. I pass between her and the one behind her to get closer to her. I bend over and grip the back of her chair against which she is, to whisper to her while the others aren't paying attention to her. "I'm sure you didn't complete your homework?"

She shakes her head without looking at me or moving but just paying attention to the tip of her pen that she's strolling on to her notebook, to doddle. "Why.....?", I sigh at her behavior, " Because."

I lick my lips and close my eyes to take a break, feeling myself blowing a fuse but containing everything inside. This is all my fault.

I pass my hand through my hair and flatten my right one on her desk, for my skin to be against hers. " Even if you hate me, don't want to work and give me your attention, listen to the lesson, and learn. I let out before stepping away as I could feel the indifference thrown at me like a damn bullet piercing thoroughly my heart.

I made a lot of mistakes in my life, but this one will always remain the worst.

I shouldn't have to think of her as another girl. She is different. And I'm a monster who has broken her into pieces.

             ☾ ° Jennifer' POV°☽

"Have you taken your math book this time?" Eddie teases me, sitting on his chair with his friend. I frown at his not-so-funny joke. "We don't have math today."

"Yes we do...." he contradicts me but this time seriously. "Don't tell me you......" he rolls his eyes as I was sure at one hundred percent that we didn't have this damn lesson today. "But I heard some saying that the math lesson was canceled today and was replaced by the science one!"

"Where the hell did you hear that!?" he bursts into laughter friend, Jacob. "Damn it...." I huff and glance away. This can't be real.

"Timothy is going to punish you." he gives a little tap onto my shoulder playfully, while I can't even deal with the sound of his name. I haven't stopped crying last night because of him and a nightmare about him didn't help it at all.

I raised my head and noticed the teacher walking in, his eyes meeting mine, I glance away but force myself to stand up like all the students in the room. "You can sit down." He let us get back on our seats and I now turned around to be in proper position after speaking to Edward and his friend Jacob.

"You can do like yesterday, and place your homework in the corner of your table while finishing the exercises of yesterday." he hangs his jacket on the back of his chair as almost everybody answered him "yes" to his orders.

I don't care about his instructions but just get my notebook and binder out. I know how disrespectful it is for me to not pay attention to his lecture or just ignore him but honestly, I don't want to show him any kind of respect anymore. I don't want to fall for him, I'm already regretting that night.

His legs pass my table after making the tour of the classroom to collect the homework. He bends over me from behind, his veiny hand flatten on my desk as his strong arms are guarding me in a tight space, his face now is close to mine, I cannot breathe anymore.

"Where is your homework?" he murmurs in my ear, my heartbeat increasing in pace at the closeness between us. "As you can see, not here. Now leave me alone." I Mutter, changing of position and going onward to avoid his chest and face from touching me. "Then promise me you're going to talk to me once the lesson ended."

I whirl around and set my eyes into his to let my words out in a quite but harsh voice, " I told you to leave me alone," I stare at his as he's doing the same. Watching the tears I'm holding back with shame. He gazes down at my lips, before doing as I told him to walk away from me.

Class ended and I grab my bag to leave this classroom. But a man stop me and seized my wrist. He keeps me on my spot. "Five minutes, not more. Please. " he let go of my wrist, gazing into my eyes with deep emotions. I look away.

"Jennifer!!!!" a boy rushing to stuff his school bag come to me. Edward comes up to me while running, he seems closer to me since we spent some hours talking with each other these last previous days. "You're getting back by bus, right?"

"Yes," I nod but step back with him to let the people pass by the door. "Alright me and Jacob taking the same bus then." he looks at Jacob and he also nods. Edward offers me his boxy smile and leads the way out to not waste a second and get to reach the bus without missing it.
