I never knew you had weirdos in your park

CHAPTER TEN

AVA'S POV

My heart beat increased with every passing second, I wondered what was up with the she wolf and why she was suddenly attacking me.

I kept moving backwards as she advanced towards me, until I almost hit the bed if not for my elbows that I used to wedge my body.

The murderous looks in her eyes did not evade me as she leaned towards me, her voice sounding like she was ever ready to kill.

There was cold silence in the room as we both stared into each other's eyes.

Soon, the murderous glare in her eyes disappeared and was replaced by a fake smile.

"I see Alpha Lesley brought you, I have no choice than to be nice to you."

I gasped and let out a deep breath when she pulled away.

"I actually came here to take a look at your wounds, I was told you were injured.

Was she the one Alpha Lesley had sent to look at my wound? Why was she being so aggressive at first?

She pulled out the first aid box which she had earlier kept under the bed and opened it, then she knelt in front of me and took my injured foot in her hand.

"Why isn't this healing?"

She placed her hand on the wound and pressed so hard till I let out a whimper.

"Does it hurt?" She looked up at me. I was quiet at the question because I was yet to know her motive, she didn't seem like a friendly person to me.

She pressed harder when there was no answer.

"Does it hurt?" She asked again, this time my breath hitched, I caught my tongue in between my teeth to prevent myself from screaming.

She did not stop her assault on my foot, she pressed even harder until I was forced to scream out.

"Stop!" I screamed looking directly into her face.

Her lips curled up into a smile and then she wore a sorry look on her face.

"I will make it stop okay."

I gasped as I watched her pour a small liquid over the wound, a burnt a bit but it was bearable.

Then after cleaning the surface she wrapped it up with a bandage.

"Does it still hurt?" She asked again this time in a calmer friendly tone.

Not knowing what to make out from her behavior, I simply shook my head.

"See?" Her lips curled up again. "I told you I would make it stop."

She carefully closed the box and stood up, then she came closer and tapped my shoulder gently.

"You should have some rest okay? Enough rest."

So saying, she turned around and walked out of the room not sparing me another glance.

I let out a sigh of relief once the door was securely closed.

"What kind of a psychotic nurse or doctor or whoever she is does Alpha Lesley have in his pack?" I spoke out aloud.

Soon enough, I was already starting to feel dizzy, my eye lids felt heavy, like they were about to give way at anytime.

I rested back on the bed, facing the ceiling with my two hands supporting my head.

Before long, I rolled over and slept off.

By the time I woke up, it was already dark. The room I was with was in total darkness.

I rubbed by eyes, trying to navigate my way through the darkness. For how long had I been asleep? How did I manage to sleep for this long?

The darkness had a lot to tell that it was already late. Although there were still some voices outside that suggested that it was still early enough for people to be awake.

I remembered seeing a candle and a pack of match on the bedside table, I thought probably I should light it up to brighten up the room a bit.

I began my little adventure in the dark, navigating my way through until I got to the table and started trailing my fingers along until I found the candle and the match stick.

After the candle was lighted, I noticed a plate of food on the bedside table.

And as if my stomach had been waiting for that moment, it automatically started rumbling non stop. Without thinking I picked up the food and went back to sit on the bed, with hope of devouring the food.

After chugging down several spoonfuls, I paused immediately. Realizing that I was eating the food without even ensuring it was really mine. And then what if it was poisoned? The she wolf that appeared earlier did not seem really happy with her.

"Well too late." I mumbled, I was already eating the food.

I pounced on the food once again until there was nothing more left in the plate.

And now I'm thirsty.

I looked around the room again hoping to find a liquid that could quench my thirst, any liquid at all. There was nothing!

"Who would drop food without water?" I asked impatiently.

Feeling frustrated, u decided to leave the room. Getting to the door, and about to open it I suddenly paused, remembering the hostile she wolf I had met earlier. What if she was just waiting for me outside?

Finally mustering courage, I pulled the door open. And the first place my eyes landed was the door opposite, that was the first place I had seen her. But much to my relief she was not there.

I tiptoed out of the room, and the first fresh air of the night hit my face.

The moon was out, and it was standing tall in the sky all beautiful and spreading light all over the pack house that one would not need a candle outside.

I closed my eyes and breathed in fresh air.

The night air smelled nice too. It was almost twenty four hours since I first arrived here, since I met Alpha Lesley. A smile spread across my face when I remembered the very first time I had seen him, my stupid heart had wanted him Instantly.

I berated myself for having such shameful thoughts and opened my eyes.

It was like my imagination was staring me right in the face the moment I opened my eyes. Just a little distance from where I stood, Alpha Lesley was standing there and giving instructions to some pack members.

He turned the moment I opened my eyes and our eyes met.

His lips curled up when he saw me, then he beckoned on me to come.

I walked towards him, dragging my feet along.

"You were sleeping when I came in. I brought you food, but because you looked so peaceful I didn't want to wake you up."

Oh! He brought the food? What a relief. At least I won't die of poisoning.

He took my hand and we walked over to a quiet place in the pack house, using the moon as a guiding light.

Walking hand in hand with this handsome Alpha gave me some kind of sweet chills, u even momentarily forgot about my thirst. Being close to Alpha Lesley was everything to me. I noticed he kept taking long glances aty face, I wondered why.

The silence was awkward so I decided to initiate a conversation.

"I didn't know you had such aggressively weird people in your pack." I finally said, referring to the she wolf who had attacked me earlier.

"What?" He asked, suddenly stopping in his tracks and turning back to face me.
