MOVING IN

Jessica stopped in her tracks as she stared in the blue eyes. His eyes reminded her of her favorite place- the ocean. She took small, steady steps towards the man and made him sit on the bed before passing him a glass of water.

Her eyes were fixed on him the entire time as if he would disappear the moment she blinked.

After gulping the water Steve felt much more relieved. He looked up at the girl who stared at him like an owl. He giggled and asked her, “like what you see? Do I look extra good today?”

She smiled and said, “no, you are just like a thought which may disappear the moment it is touched.” Hearing her words he felt a pang on his heart. ‘Did he really matter to her? Was he this important.’
