Ambush and Comprehension!

After hanging up the call with his father, Sebastian went back to his pending work in progress. As hard as he tried to concentrate, he couldn't as his mind was constantly thinking of the recent events. Most importantly, he couldn't get Ayase out of his head for some reason.

" What got you so pensive, president?" The familiar voice of his secretary got him back on track. He stared at him with a satisfied grin.

" What?" Sebastian gasped, not understanding where the sudden grin was coming from. He crossed his arms, giving off an impressive demeanor.

Chuckling slightly, he then said with humor, " You were thinking about her, weren't you?"

" Who are you talking about?" Who should I be thinking of?" Sebastian played the denial card game.

" Nevermind, president!" Don't forget we have a meeting in half an hour."

The secretary heads off and meets eye to eye with Ayato Nascimento.

" What are you doing here, young master?" Is there something you need?"

" I'm here to fetch the president. Is he inside?"

" Fetch the president?" The secretary had a troubled look on his face and the brilliant Ayato guessed straight away what wasn't sitting right.

" I see! He must still have a meeting pending, right?" The secretary was surprised by his cleverness and simply nodded to express his affirmation.

" I'll wait for him to finish his meeting. I'm in no hurry." He added with a slight grin.

" Okay, young master! You may wait for him in one of the available rooms. I'll let him know you're here for him as soon as the meetings are over."

" Alright!"

Outside of the city, not so far off, in a small and not yet very grand humble office, two individuals were having milked coffee.

" This coffee is good, isn't it Martin?"

" Yes, Ayase! It has a sweet taste for just $3." He said in compliance with his boss across from him.

" Stop complaining! We need to keep our budget down or we might have financial problems later on." Ayase told him off in a straight-up manner. As she had her legs crossed, she continued sipping her coffee silently.

Martin received a message and checked it while Ayase continued drinking her coffee. The message took him a few seconds to narrow down. From that aspect of things, it was from one of his friends.

" One of my friends texted me about a job." He paused before continuing. " You'll be heading off to a studio for a photo shoot and the client is the famous Rockstar James Sollis."

James Sollis made his debut in the entertainment industry when he was still in high school. His popularity increased exponentially due to his young age and good looks. His first album sold off more than three million copies in circulation.

He gasped as he added as a side note, " Aside from the photo shoot, you'll also be posing as his bodyguard." He sighed as he finished his sentence.

As Ayase had finished her coffee, she put her cup down and said straightforwardly to Martin, " I'm not doing it; you should go ahead and accept it as this is your friend's request."

He said contently the following, " If it was possible, I would have gone for the job but it's not.

Ayase, intrigued by the tricky response, asks him, " Why is that?"

To which he responds, " There was a requirement in the job and that requirement stipulated that no male photographers were allowed to take on the offer. It was written in bold letters and large characters."

Ayase snapped, " What the heck? Who does he think he is to formulate such a dumb condition?"

" As much as you're discontent, you can't decline this offer."

" Why? Is there a condition for that too?"

" Not, but the remuneration for the job is $10,000 daily. As this job is supposed to last a week, at the end of it all, you'll be gaining the fair sum of $70,000 plus a bonus." Ayase's eyes opened wide at the amount of money she'll be making in just a week.

" So, What do you say, boss?"'Will you accept the job offer or not?"

Ayase uttered with complacency, " I'll do your friend this one favor but that's it."

" My friend appreciates your generosity." He chuckled funnily.

In the SN Corporation, Sebastian who had just finished with his meeting was about to slip off from the company but unfortunately, his clever attempt failed miserably.

" Where are you heading off to without me?" The familiar voice from his son started him from behind. He turned around slowly and acting in denial, he asked, " What are you doing here instead of being home sleeping?"

Ayato raised an eyebrow as he replied, " Do you truly not know why I'm here, or are you playing dumb?" Father and son confronted each other with their intense gazes.

" No, I don't know what brings you here," Sebastian answered his son in a formal tone.

" Are you sure about that?" Ayato's response was just as intense as his father's previous.

" Yes!"

" Then, you don't mind me phoning grandpa, do you?" Sebastian flinched at the sound of his father's name.

Sebastian didn't want to go to the meeting as he wanted to avoid it at all costs. There was only one person who could help him get what he wanted.

" Let's have ice cream on the way!" He said subtly to Ayato.

" Ice Cream?" He gasped. " What are you going on about now?" The father looked at his son as innocently as possible. Ayato knew his father better than he knew himself; he knew exactly what game he was trying to pull with his innocent facade.

They head out of the office buildings together and when they were inside the car, Ayato asked his father the same question once more to which he decided to come clean to his son.

" You know why grandpa wants to see me, don't you?" He asked with a serious look in his eyes.

With the same gaze deployed by Sebastian, Ayato responded, " Yes, I know!"

" Why are you cooperating with him, then?" He asked with a troubled expression. By that time, they had already left the office quarters and were heading home. On the way, they stopped to buy ice cream.

Eating a slice of his vanilla ice cream, Ayato gave a stern response to his father which went by the following, " I'm on grandpa's side because he's not completely wrong."

Ayato's response baffled Sebastian who then asked, " Why do you think so?"

" Grandpa only wants what's best for you but you keep ignoring him all the time which I don't comply with." No parents would wish for their child's unhappiness."

Sebastian kept quiet, not knowing what else to say to counter his son. At one moment, Ayato says again, and this time with deep affection, " Why don't you try listening to him for once?" It might not seem as bad as you think."

" Okay, son!" I'll listen to you and go see what he wants." He complied after listening to his son, to which Ayato was immensely happy.

" That's wonderful!" Let's go see him right now!"

" Right now?" Sebastian gasped in surprise as Ayato harbored a joyful grin on his face.

" Don't worry about school! I'll sleep at Grandpa's tonight." Ayato showed Sebastian the change of clothes he had bought for the night along with his backpack. That made Sebastian think that his son had played him for a fool as everything was already planned from the start without his knowledge.

" You're the worst!" Sebastian uttered jokingly.

" I love you too, dad!" Ayato grinned even more.

When they finished with their ice cream and were about to set off, they encountered familiar faces.

" We meet again, sister. Are you also here to get ice cream?" Ayato asked joyfully Ayase who was waiting for her ice cream to arrive along with Martin.

" That's right!" She nodded. Her attention shifted to Sebastian who she was unhappy to see. She couldn't stand him due to what happened last time.

" I'm happy to see you again, Sister. I've missed you."

" Likewise!" Ayase and Martin's ice cream finally arrived and they were about to set off. Ayato held her hand as she was about to leave.

" Sister, will we meet again?" He asked earnestly and sweetly. For some reason, Ayase wanted to hug him but kept herself from doing so because of Sebastian. She didn't want another eruption after what happened last time.

Ayase gave out an enigmatic response to the question Ayato asked her, " If it's written in the stars, we'll certainly meet again."

Ayase and Martin walked away from the two. Sebastian was gazing at Ayase as she was slowly drifting away in the distance.

" She's so dashing and beautiful, isn't she?" Ayato commented softly.

???

" The one who'll end up together with her will be a very lucky man." He commented once more. Sebastian on the other hand thought nothing of it. They got inside the car and drove off from there.

An hour later, Sebastian and Ayato finally reached their final destination. They were in front of a big mansion several centimeters of kilometers long. The impressive building had the insignia, " NS Family Mansion", which also happened to be where Sebastian grew up throughout his childhood.

" Finally, you're here!" I thought you were never going to arrive." A blond-haired man with deep blue eyes came out of the mansion. That blonde-haired man was none other than Narumi Nascimento.
