Present time…
“Then?” I asked when he finally stopped talking. We returned to his room. I was sure August needed the privacy with Diana after the little incident. He was more concerned for her safety than for me. I don’t blame him for that. She is his mate.
Also, I didn’t want to leave Reed especially when after so much efforts he was finally talking to me. the thick shell he surround himself in was finally cracking.
He was sitting on the edge of the bed looking at the sidelamp busy in his own mind. I didn’t want to push him, everything he told since now was impossible to believe if I haven’t seen most of it in the visions already. I have seen the pain; I have seen his sufferings. Esma’s pov August and Diana had already left the motel, leaving me and other remaining alphas. I stand and stared at the gate, August’s car leaving the Noman’s land, disappearing before my eyes. I don’t know why but for some reason, I was now regretting my decision of staying here.
