I for Imagination
Luckily I felt a lot better yesterday. I woke up early this morning and decided to read some of the materials for the science quiz. It is still 9 am, and I’m getting ready to leave. Mom packed me with some medicine in case, some biscuits, and freshly squeezed orange juice. She also put some towels and an extra shirt in my bag.
“Mom, are you really sure about that?” I asked her while she was busy preparing my things.
“Just in case, honey. I just want to make sure you’re going to be okay in there-” she stopped midway and looked at me while she had both of his hands on his hips.
“Should I go there with you?” she asked.
“Mom!”
“Okay, I’ll be here, honey.”
J for JewelsFlashbackThird Person’s POVIt was in the middle of the night at Hallray. The Welch mansion looks grand, like the first time it was built several years ago. It was supposed to be a home for a family where memories are being treasured and cherished, but now, it looks like a backdrop from a stage performance, unreal, haunted. The king that was supposed to live there cherish his name and integrity, too busy to make Welsch not just a surname but a trademark. His queen is as sweet like she was supposed to but cunning in her own way. She loves her children but never in a maternal way. The princes are too smart for their own age. The eldest is a carefree man who smiles brightly and is loved by all. The other o
J for JustifiedI went around the school for a chance that I might bump into Reverie, but still I couldn’t find any trace from her. I passed by through their classroom, but she’s not there, even that girl named Cia. Where did I hear that name before?“Cia!”Someone shouted behind me. A girl at the end of the hallway looked in my direction. She smiled and waved her right hand. How can someone look so elegant even though she’s only wearing her school uniform? She walked past through me, and her perfume leaves a nice scent behind. That was Cianelle Ramsey. Yeah, I ran into her one morning outside our school. She’s a talented girl. She sings well and can play musical instruments.I saw her talking to some girls, and I don’t think I have the chance to ask her about Reverie.
K for KingI walked past our living room when a familiar voice suddenly echoed in our house.“Here comes the big boy, mama!” she shouted.Oh, I remember, it was one of those voices I don’t want to hear before, but I guess I missed it so much that it made me smile.“Hey, sis. Since when did you go home?” I asked her.“This afternoon, I want to see all of you for a little while, so I’d be staying until next week,” she said.“You don’t have classes?”“It’s our school foundation anniversary anyway. Attending is your option.”“Is college tough?” I asked her.“I’m tougher,” she said.
K for KaleidoscopeJarren’s POVIt’s Saturday. I made my way to the internet café since I couldn’t go to the arcade yesterday. I stayed late in the club room and had attended my first club meeting with them since our school’s festival is coming around the corner and we have at least a month to prepare for it. Reverie was there, too. I thought she’d remain quiet as I did, but she talked more than I expected her to. She planned with the rest of our club members, and I felt quite useless at that moment and had no idea what am I supposed to talk about with them.Reverie is quite good at planning, and they narrowed down the ideas from 10 to three. They had it submitted to Miss Jon, and on Monday, we will be having our final decision for that matter.
L for LoonMacky decided to make a group conversation where we can communicate with each other. She only made it last Saturday evening since Miss Jon already gave us a response with the student government's approval and the admin. They never had a group chat before since they’re not really interested in social media. I just find out that only a few of them had Instagram and Facebook. I don’t have an Instagram myself. I only have Facebook, and my sister made it for me. I barely used it.We decided to focus on entertainment and make our clubroom features different kinds of cards and board games. It’s not gambling, though. Reverie’s the one who suggested it. I remembered our conversation before, and that made me curious about the deck of cards she handed me. Anyway, our club room will be having a makeover next week, and today we were working
L for LeverageFlashbackI’ve been searching the internet on how to play Coup. The rules are pretty easy but playing it is a bit tricky. Each card has a unique ability among other players. You can also lie about your identity. It’s pretty interesting.“Hey, bro. What are you up to?” My sister opened my room without even knocking.“Can’t you knock?” I told her.“Oh, are you watching?” She smiled sheepishly.I threw her the nearest thing I can grab. It turns out it was my joystick.“Lucky!” she said when she dodged my attack.“I’m not like you. I’m searching for this game,” I told he
M for MeritThird Person’s POV“Why do you keep coming in here?”Tux was wearing the coffee shop’s apron while carrying a tray of glasses and cups when he bumped into Jim at the coffee shop’s door.“Is that how Do you treat a customer? I’m a regular before you even work here.”Jim went straight to his usual place. His face cannot be traced. He saw Jarren went inside Reverie’s car, and when he tailed them, he saw Reverie brought Jarren to her house. She never brought someone in her house, not even J
M for MischiefThe night is still young, and she enjoyed the beauty the night sky has to offer. She’s listening to a series of music on her playlist. She wrapped her arms around her legs and rested her face above them.“Miss Reverie, it’s cold outside.” Her nanny, Emie, entered her room and found her sitting on the balcony of her room. She didn’t respond. Emie grabbed a piece of cloth and covered Reverie from being cold.“Something bad happened?” Emie asked her.“I knew this would happen, Emie,” she said.Emie brushed Reverie’s long and wavy hair.“I knew it from the start, but why am I feeling guilty?” Reverie looked Emie in the eyes. She neve
