Chapter 44: Travelling with Him and the Confessions

I feel as tired as I walk beside Vlash silently. I can still feel how he keeps on glancing at me. We stop for some time to rest and eat then we just silently continue walking. The silence is killing me but I don’t know how to create a conversation with Vlash. I don’t know how he will react if I did.

“You are oddly silent. What is on your mind Riri?” I am surprise when Vlash suddenly speaks making me stop and look at him.

“I- I don’t know what to say. I thought you are not interested to talk.” I said with burning face as I continue walking beside him.

I stop and look at him when I suddenly hear him laugh. For the first time he laughs, I feel like all my doubts, weariness and embarrassment are washed away as I listen to his soothing laughter that resounded to this silent, scary and slightly dark place.
