Chap 32: Rescue Mission - Part2
Axel and the others were keenly observing the scene in front of them. The three rogue guards who were talking to each other were taken off guard when two wolves suddenly attacked them from either side. Before the rogues could react, Axel and the warriors attacked them from the front, and they were dead within seconds.
They all slowly entered inside and saw the ground floor was completely empty. They sniffed around for any scent, and Axel said, " There's nobody on this floor."" I can smell something from downstairs," one of the warriors, Drew, said. " You all stay here. Let me check how many are present."Axel nodded and Drew slowly crept down the stairs. Once he reached the last step, he peeked inside, and at first glance, he could see around ten wolves. He observed their locations and went back to inform the others." I could see at least ten wolves, but they didn't look like rogues, " Drew observed." What do you mean?" another warrior, Lucia, asked.
