Having fun

SAIGE POV

After the police questioned us and locked Leo up in the back of their car, I couldn't help but notice how Collin was staring at me. He had heard the whole story of what Leo had done to me the night before and what he was about to do again and during the time I spoke, I watched his jaw flex in anger. Did he really care for me? I wouldn't expect him to get so angry about this. He barely knows me.

We were in his truck, driving away from the police cars and the alley when he looked over at me.

"Am I taking you home?"

I vigorously shook my head. "That's the last place I want to be right now."

He nodded, seeming to know how I felt. "Alright, I have an idea to get your mind off of this." He turned around and I watched as he got on the freeway and headed into the heart of the city.

"Where are you taking us?"

"I figured a trip to the mall for some food and goofing around would distract you." He smiled over at me and I swear I melted. Who was this guy? Instead of taking me back to his place or somewhere more private, like most guys would do, he was bringing me to a mall to have fun.

After we parked, we headed inside and straight to the food court. Collin bought me whatever I wanted and we sat at an empty table, chowing down.

"So, what's next?" I asked, eyeing a henna tattoo booth at the end of the food court. I've always wanted one of those things.

"Whatever you want," he replied with a smile.

I grinned at him before standing up to throw my trash away. He got up and followed me and I headed straight for the henna tattoo booth.

"We should both get one." I winked at him over my shoulder before I started going through the binder on the counter, picking out the ones I wanted.

"I don't exactly have any open space on my skin," he said while twirling his arms around to show me they were covered in tattoos as if I needed a reminder.

"Your face is empty," I laughed out.

He shook his head. "No way in hell."

"Awe, come on! You said I could do whatever I wanted."

"Yeah, you could do whatever you wanted. I never said I had to join in." He was smiling genuinely at me and it was making my heart flutter. This guy was making it real hard on me.

"Please? For me?" I batted my eyelashes at him, hoping my puppy dog look was working.

He groaned, shaking his head. "Fine, but just a small one."

"Deal." I started flipping through the binder again and picked out a special one for him.

I was first up and the girl started drawing the design on my arm. It was your typical henna design with swirls and circles and nearly took up my entire forearm. I loved it.

"Alright, big boy, where are you getting yours?" She eyed him up like he was candy and I couldn't blame her, but she needed to stop. Jealousy was an ugly bitch but I could be uglier. She didn't want to push me.

I stepped up to her and pointed in the binder at the design I wanted her to put on his face. "This one should do. It's fitting, no?"

She looked down at the design I pointed out and laughed. "Yeah, babe, that will look nice."

"Wait, why do I feel like I should run right now? It's not normally a good thing when two girls team up against a guy." Collin was about to stand up but I quickly ran around him and grabbed his shoulders, holding him in the chair.

"Don't worry, you'll love it. But you have to promise not to look at it until I tell you to." I grinned up at the henna tattoo lady and she winked at me.

He let out an annoyed groan and finally sat back in the chair, letting the lady draw on his face.

After our henna work, we began strolling through the mall, stopping at any store that looked interesting and different. We ended up laughing and poking fun at each other for a good hour. I hadn't had that much fun in... well, ever.

We were in a clothing store with a ton of mirrors and before he caught sight of what was on his face, I needed a picture.

"Collin!" He spun toward me and saw that I held my phone up. I snapped the picture in the mirror, making a silly face.

After the picture was taken he turned to glare at me.

"Is that a fucking unicorn on my face?"

The way he said it made me burst out laughing. I knelt over and placed my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath.

"There's a fucking unicorn on my face, Saige!"

I looked up to find him staring into the mirror, trying to rub it off.

"No! You'll smear it and make it look like a pile of poop!" I burst out laughing again, holding his hands away from his face.

He was glaring down at me, trying to act pissed, but the grin tugging at his lips told me he was enjoying this.

We were intimately close, my hands still holding his away, our bodies pressed close to one another.

The smile began to fade on my face as I looked down at his plump lips, wanting to taste them again so badly.

His own smile was fading as he stared down at me..... at my lips

"You're going to pay for this, Saige," he whispered out before stepping away from me. "Come on. Payback time." He grabbed my forearm and pulled me from the store as I broke out in another fit of laughter. I really couldn't control myself.
