Voir plusAluna was on the way to campus. She was well known as Aluna Mentari, 21 years old, she was a medical student, and she has a friend called Fatma. She was riding her motorcycle that always accompanied her wherever she went.
“Today, there is an exam from Mr Anton. He was known as a ‘killer lecturer.’ He has never killed a student. If he had done that, he would not have been a lecturer now. I wonder why a discipline lecturer, never smiling and strict with the rule, is called a killer lecturer. The killer is someone who kills people. I still don’t understand” Aluna’s inner voice along her way to campus. “That is not my problem.” She continued while watching the red light.
Aluna had arrived at campus at 07.15, which means the exam would begin in fifteen minutes. There was enough time to study, so she had no time to prepare for the exam because she handled the cake shop. Aluna owned a cake shop that was started with Fatma. It had run for five months which was hard for Aluna to make time for her college and work.
“Aluna!” Fatma’s voice suddenly scattered Aluna’s mind.
“Hey!” Replied Aluna and waited for her among the students. “Have you studied for today’s exam? I fell asleep last night, so I had no chance to study” Aluna continued talking while walking with Aluna.
“You don’t need to work hard to answer the questions. You are smart, so it is going to be easy for you. Even though you don’t study, you always get the highest score.” Said Fatma with her shrill voice.
“Huss! Shut up! You’re embarrassing me! It is the last time I am talking to you in a crowded place,” Said Aluna, walking away. All eyes were on her. Fatma looked so happy after embarrassing Aluna.

The exam had just finished, Aluna walked to the parking area. She saw three men with black suits from far away were standing next to her motorcycle. She walked slowly while thinking, “Maybe they are waiting for someone else” However, the closer she walked, their eyes kept starring at Aluna.
“Excuse me, can I take that motorcycle?” asked Aluna politely while pointing her finger at the motorcycle. Their big body made her afraid.
“Are you Aluna?” asked one of them, staring at Aluna.
“Yes, I am Aluna. What can I do for you?” asked her carefully.
“We come here to pick you up!” He said firmly.
“Come with us! Don’t worry! We are not bad people!” continued a man on the left.
“Of course, a bad guy won’t tell people that he’s bad. Many bad people pretend to be good people,” Aluna’s inner voice. She didn’t want to move from her place.
“We are Mr Marfel’s bodyguard! He is close to your mother! Mr Marfel wants to give you a testament from your mother before she died. He is being hospitalized in the Hospital,” said them trying to convince Aluna.
Aluna looked at them one by one, trying to determine whether they were lying or not. After making sure for a minute, “Well, I’ll come with you!” said Aluna bravely, convincing herself that they were not bad people.
“Please come with us, and we’ll take you there by car. We will bring your motorcycle.” The man said while starring at the black car near the parking area.
It took them thirty minutes until they arrived at the Hospital. When Aluna entered the room, she saw a completely white room, and there was a sixty-year-old man was lying down weakly with the help of oxygen. He looked at Aluna and tried to smile at her. Aluna was told to come to the room alone. Those three men couldn’t come inside the room. Aluna got closer to Mr. Marfel. She’s been standing for ten minutes, whereas Mr Marfel kept staring at her. Until, with his weak voice, Mr Marfel told Aluna to listen to a recording that had been prepared before. Aluna took the recording and tried to listen to it.
‘Aluna dear, How are you? It’s been a long time since you heard my voice. Mom recorded this in the Hospital. I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you about this directly. Mom wants you to get married to Mr Marfel’s son. I’m sure he can be the best partner for you in the future. Maybe you haven’t met him yet, but I hope you want to marry him. Mr Marfel is my close friend. Since mom was hospitalized in the Hospital, Mr Marfel had helped mom with the treatment. But it’s not about it; mom wants you to get married! I’m sure he’s the right man for you! Will you marry him, Aluna? I hope you will! Love you, Aluna!’
“What is it, God? How can I marry someone that I don’t know?” Aluna’s inner voice, she started crying.
When he reached the front door of his apartment, he stood staring at it in confusion, certainly not where he was. When he finally realized, in fact, that he was at his apartment, that he had walked a few miles to get here, he fumbled in his pocket for his keys. The apartment was quiet and smelled musty when he entered, without any sweetness to welcome the presence. Layla was never here, and it showed. He suffered just enough to spend any time here. It was empty darkness, like a tomb, and he was incapable of bringing any light to it. The only light he'd ever known was Layla's light, and he'd shared it too short, then chased her away with unbridled desire. He had never been able to keep his hands off hers. He'd made love to her more than he'd ever thought possible, the man inside him rising unbelievably with sweetness mired inside her and tightening his body to hers. . He got her pregnant and because of it he lost her. What would he do without her? He couldn't function, couldn't find it
A chilling shiver trickled down her spine, rendering her momentarily unable to speak. All she could do was endure the grip on her shoulders, her wide eyes fixed on him and her weak mouth parted in disbelief. Several times she tried to speak, and finally she got it under control, her voice hoarse “Throw it away? God, it's nauseating! Have you ever said something like that?” (This sentence may not be correct, but I don't know how to translate it)He is running. She could feel it in his hands now, see it in the palpable tremor of his large body. His pain had had a calming effect on her when she suddenly realized that even he had fallen more than her in demanding reassurance again, although she had no idea why. Instinct was regained and overpowered her actions as she placed her hands on his chest."I wouldn't do anything to harm my baby," she said softly. "Never."He shivered even harder. His blue eyes were cold with some wild emotion she couldn't read, but he took a deep breath and his
Layla can destroy you and the things deep inside you. No one else had ever threatened his defenses, and there were times when he wanted to leave, never to see her again, but he couldn't. He needed her so much and he always struggled to keep her when he realized it.But their arrangement might have allowed him to sleep with her every night and lose himself more and more in her warm, soft body. In bed he could kiss her and run his hands all over her, wrapped in her scent and touching her, to keep her close to him. In bed, she clung to him with indulgence, opening herself up to him whenever he wanted, her hands running over him with soft, daring caresses that made him wild. Once they were together in bed, it seemed like she never stopped touching him, and despite himself, he was infatuated with it. Sometimes all he could do was hold the groan in a strange, not quite physical ecstasy as she kissed, caressed, and cuddled. However, with all that they had actually lived together for two year
Then she awoke from a drowsy state, hearing the shower running. She knew she should get up and start preparing a meal, but she was caught in a strange inertia. Now she couldn't care less about food when the rest of her life depended on what happens between them. She couldn't postpone it any longer.Maybe tonight won't be the last. Maybe. Miracles have happened before. She could hope for miracles, but she was prepared for a less than perfect reality. She would leave this luxury, comfortable apartment that Kelvin had provided for her. Her next life direction won't be matched by color, so how? The right rugs and curtains didn't matter, Kelvin mattered, but she wouldn't be able to have him.She only hoped she would be able to hide her cries and pleas, he would hate the sight.Being without him was the hardest thing she'd ever faced. She loves him now even more than she did two years ago, when she agreed to be his lover. It always squeezed her heart with the way he did something like kin
Kelvin Mckenna said without looking at her, “This is not going to be done. You can be my secretary or my mistress, but you can't be both. Let's choose."Layla Larson paused, her nimble fingers hovering over the stack of classified papers searching for the contract he'd asked for... His request was
