As much as I wanted him here, I needed him to leave. I was a mess, and I couldn't handle his kindness. How could I? I have never had much in my life.

People mostly demanded something from me after helping me in any way, but what would he get out of this, sex?

I leaned my head to the back of the seat, and gazed at him while he was driving.

He looked tired but yet so handsome, he could easily take my breath away anytime he wished.

If he desperately wanted to take me home, I'd let him. So, I allowed myself to stare at him until we arrived at my home, I wouldn't have this opportunity after that.

I’ll take you home and it's the last thing I’ll do...

That couldn’t be further from the truth, and he had no idea how right he was. It would be the last thing he would do for me.

I took a deep breath and felt good returning home, or better, to the crime scene.

I decided, almost in an instant it seemed, to leave town tomorrow. I would let him drive me there, witness his disappointed
