CHAPTER 15

Verania's Point of View

Yesterday was a delightful day for us at the resort. We explored a lot and, of course, it was tiring. In the afternoon, Ares and I decided to head back to his mansion since he mentioned having a check-up.

I woke up early from my bed because today is the day of Ares' appointment at the hospital for a check-up on his legs.

As usual, I wore a simple t-shirt and track pants, paired with rubber shoes after I had tidied myself up. I headed straight to Ares' room to pick him up.

Upon opening the door, I found Ares struggling to stand up. I couldn't help but smile as I noticed the significant improvement. He can stand now, even if he still needs support.

"Morning, Ares. Let's go," I invited him, and he willingly plopped back into his wheelchair before following me.

Before anything else, we had breakfast, and after we finished, he grabbed an apple from the dining table.

"What's that for?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked at me with a mischievous smirk.
