We arrived at a clearing bathed in golden light. The source of the scent we were trailing stood before us. A lone wolf, his fur a striking combination of silver and white. He regarded us with cautious curiosity, his eyes filled with a mixture of wariness and openness.

Shifting back into my human form, I approached him slowly, my instincts guiding me to extend a peaceful aura. Creed remained at my side, a silent pillar of strength. The mysterious wolf seemed to sense our intentions, his body relaxing slightly as he allowed us closer.

"I sense no hostility from him," I whispered to Felix, my voice barely audible. "There's more to this than meets the eye."
