Third Person Pov
Suddenly there was a knock on the door .
" M.. Michael .. Alec ? Are you there ? " Alexis called out with a nervous voice .
Alec and Michael look at each other and then at Jace .
Her voice seemed to have stirred him awake .
' This is bad ' Michael thinks , but he hopes that it'll be alright . It's morning , the effects of the full moon should wear off by now . Even though it had started yesterday in the morning as well , it was still the only day that would have the most effect on Jace . The next few days should be mostly fine , even though he'll still be slightly on the edge .
There isn't enough time for them to rush over and snap his neck again. Jace's neck contorts into it's original position before they get an opportunity to try . His eyes snap open , bloodshot red .
Michael and Alec hold their breath , ignoring the further few knocks at their door .

Alexis's Pov " Why are you here? " I ask him cautiously , trying to back away with no space to retreat to . I was already at the edge of the bed . Alexis's Pov I was half asleep when I felt something poking my arm . Thinking it was some kind of insect , I yelp and suddenly get up to turn on the table light right next to the bed . I stare at the bed . There wasn't an insect or anything but there was .. " A fish hook ? " I pick it up in confusion . Before I fell asleep , I was sure this wasn't on the bed . The next morning I lazily get up , purposely pushing it even though I was awake . I keep my eyes closed and force myself to sleep more , turning over possibly a hundred times . Soon enough I give up and get up from bed .I check the time .9 am.Not bad . I thought it would be 11 am by now .By the time I shower and get ready , it's 11 . " We need to lose the dude and approach the woman . " I remind them . Clearly the little girl was incredibly scared of the man and I didn't want to talk to the woman in his presence , at least not until I figured out the whole story . We don't know what's going on behind the scenes so it's better to play safe . " How are we going to do that ? " Alec wonders . I get into my thinking mode , which isn't as useful as it should be . I don't dare to fall asleep . Better yet , I can't fall asleep would be a more accurate representation of what I'm going through . I am not used to insomnia , usually I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow . After all , sleep is the only escape that I have from the real world . I can finally experience calmness and peace , something I stuggle with in my day to day life . That's no excuse though . I can't sleep away all of my problems . And it seems that in this generation , no one has known peace , I'm not special . I sigh and turn , desperate for a little nap before it hits 2 am . I check the time . It's only 11 PM . Are you kidding me ? I'm supposed to overthink for another 3 hours before it's time ? I whine and shove my face into the pillow . I remember the last time I slept extremely well .
