"What did my father do Jace? Tell me.." It was the second time I asked him and he still looked hesitant to reply. But I could see a thought cross his mind before he finally made up his mind to tell me.

I know that by no means is my father an innocent person . He's a vampire after all . All vampires have done something sinful one time or another . Usually it's not being able to control their thirst which results in taking the life of a human . I shiver . I don't know how many human lives dad has took . Did he kill someone close to Jace ? Is that why Jace is so angry at him ? Is that why he kidnapped me and planned to kill me ?

" Your father killed your mother " Jace says softly as if he's afraid the news will shatter me . Well he's not wrong . But how do I know he's telling the truth ?
