21 - Afternoon tea with Luna

“How are you feeling?” Jaden asks, holding my shoulders.

“Fine,” I swallow. “We shouldn't have come. I should have seen this coming...” I frown. “I should have known that all this you're going through isn't worth a lady companion.”

“We're not here for her, Malia,” he says, and I widen my eyes and stare at him.

“What are we here for, then?” I ask, shocked.

“I have some important business to take care of,” he kisses my cheek, “and you don't have to worry about that. Why don't you get something to eat? Go for a walk?”

“I don't know if that's such a good idea,” I let out a tired sigh.

“Why don't you go after your original goal?” Jaden smiles weakly. “I have to go out with Damon to sort out important matters. If you want to stay here, I'll send some guards to look after you.”

“No!” I exclaim. “I'm going to find your mother.”

“Right, good!” He smiles at me, pulling me into a hug.
