Chapter Eight: FACE TO FACE

She swung her blade. The tree split into two. 

It was wondrous midnight for Karla Allen. Just recently she discovered that every night she can use the blade of the moon, which is finely crafted and reputedly magical. The leader of the coven, whose name was Mr.Hawking, told her that the sword was made from the minerals found in the moon mountain.

And exactly today, we are going to moon mountain to visit Luna. 

She was in a deep forest practicing her blade, so she can have enough knowledge on using it properly. Earlier today, she wounded Suzy while she was swinging it around. Because Suzy is muted, she had no idea if someone was there. But another sorceress that has healing magic, named Paris, healed Suzy right away.

The more she spends time in the coven, the more she gets to know the sorcerers there. But not all of them are kind. Especially Soureh. She is a sorcerer that specializes in Occult. No matter how she convinces her that she is not a spy, she kept raining theories and convincing Helios that she is a traitor. But Helios trusts her. She will not betray him. 

The Huntington Coven is a place where her group meets up. 

Huntington is a province located in the western state where dragons are the main threat. It's a very poor state since witchery gadgets are not present.

The coven their group is keeping an eye on is the Augusta Coven.

It's a coven where it is located in a middle-class province in the eastern state. The main threat in this state is werewolves.

Their only coven ally on this planet is the Birchington Coven.

Birchington is a province located in the northern state is one of the high-class provinces on this planet. The main threats are demons and corruption due to its riches.

Amira Coven is the most powerful covens of them all.

This coven is located in Adamya. One of the high-class provinces. This coven is located in the southern state and the main threats are earthly monsters.

Thanks to the books and Helios' help, she memorized the provinces on this planet. She has the responsibility to protect the planet and fulfill her job as a moon sword-bearer. And also, Hawking told her that she wasn't the only one who is the sword-bearer on this planet. Maybe she can seek help from them. Or, ask them to help if they knew how to control powers.

This new world was stuck in her brain for days. She can't help to compare it to Earth.

She sighed and then pointed her blade at some tree. She slices it in half. She noticed Azaroz cloning the sliced trees as she cut them down.

That guy from the last time, which happened a month ago, had stuck in her head. Azaroz had been guarding her for days, due to this guy. Azaroz is a wizard that specializes in Octoplasm, which helps him multiple or make copies of something. He is kind of a jerky wizard that has no respect for Hawking. But when it comes to his mates getting attacked by someone, he'll make a move for sure.

Other wizards seem to ignore her. Well, because she is weird? 

She kept sharping her blade as she mix up thoughts that she can't tell anyone.

Looking back to Earth, she remembers her parents, the Allen couple. She wonders what are they doing now. 

She saw a shadow above her while she was busy thinking.

She heard it called out.

"Miss Demigod! Azaroz!" She says as it lowers its broom to go down. 

Azaroz walked into her, asking, "What is it, A*i?"

I held out my blade and it disappeared into white glitter in the air.

"Something is coming, a black cat appeared in the coven," A*i said as she walks down from her broom.

"A black cat?" He says. "This is horrible." 

"We need to go back quick, other sorcerers are waiting out there." She says.

She whispers a magic word, and then the broom grew longer. She rides it, followed by Azaroz. Karla jumped in and then they made their way to the Tree Coven. 

In the air, the midnight wind blows as if the dragons are in their peaceful sleep. Cloud covens in the sky are glowing, with no dragons in sight to harm them. The moon glows brightly along with the stars.

A*i is the superstition Witch. She specializes in superstitions. When she meets one, she'll warn everyone about it. On this planet, superstitions are real.

The broom turns and lowers to the ground. They fought with the wind as they drop to the ground. They reached the end and everyone started to mount out. They hurried in the Tree coven. Inside awaits the other sorcerers, their brows frowning as they choose a plan for what to do.

Azaroz reaches for his coat and askes them. "What's with those faces?"

Karla joins A*i at the table. Azaroz stands beside Hawking, looking at the map of planet phenomena.

"The Demon Prince is here. In our province," says Paris.

Paris is a mystic witch, which means she can communicate or be one with god. 

Everyone looks serious. 

"What was that prince doing here?" Azaroz asks.

"That is what we are trying to know, Azaroz." Says Helios as he crosses his arms on the table. Karla looked very anxious about what's going on. She had no idea what to add to the coven's plans. 

"There is only one thing that I think was the reason." Says Georgia, as she thumps the table with her fist. 

Georgia is the Exorcism Witch, she specializes in dark magic and is an expert when it comes to demons.

"It would be the ritual of the sinful bones right?" Soureh confidently said. In her left eye, she glares at Karla like she did something wrong.

Karla sits there and ignores her.

"It should be," Georgia replied. 

"Whatever the reason is, we need to find out why he is here..." Hawking declares.

"What are we going to do then?" Karla said. "To find out?"

"We need to go and visit him." Hawking answers.

"I agree." Helios answers.

Hawking stands up from his seat and goes to Suzy. 

Hawking waves something with his hand, like some sort of sign language. Suzy then replies by pointing fingers. Hawking goes back to them and sat in his seat. Suzy continues to check the stars to find out his location.

"He's in the Moon mountain. On Suzy's calculations, this midnight the lunar eclipse will happen." Hawking announces to them.

"I knew it, he's trying to teleport to some planet," Soureh says.

"If I'm right, a lunar eclipse is going to happen on Planet Earth right?" A*i turns to Karla.

"Yes, it will happen around the end of midnight." Karla answers. 

"Not bad, Miss demigod." Soureh rolls her eyes.

"Don't make me fight you Soureh," Helios threatens.

Oh, here goes the prince charming of our dear Karla.

"And also, we have a prince to fight on, Soureh," Liza speaks for the first time in front of Karla.

"She's right." Hawking ends the argument as he stands up and says; "Let us go."

Up in the sky, everyone is riding their brooms, and Karla is riding a mood cloud. The wind blows, and the clouds scatter around the moon. The night is again quiet, the dragons are not awake.

They search up the land trying to find an eclipses light, the fruit of the eclipses orb. In the Black Widow woods, which locates in the highest mountain in the state; a shiny tower of eclipses orb.

To sum up, the demon prince was an eclipses moon sword-bearer, holding the same power as Karla.

They lowered down and fought with the wind to reach the bottom. 

They created a smokescreen and faces the demon prince; Merlin.

He does not look like he was startled at all. He even smiled, and focused his eyes on the only demigod; Karla Allen.

Helios noticed that and covers Karla with his cape. He laughed.

"You guys came all the way here to stop me." He said.

Hawking walks forward and corrects him. "We are here to know what are you doing here and why." He threatens him by pointing his hand at the floating cosmos.

"Why don't beat me first." He triggers them.

Hawking was annoyed and directed them, "After him!"

The sorcerers started raining their powers, and it only hit his orbs that turned into golems. More golems started to come out from the ground and shields him from them. 

They started finishing them one by one, and when they all are gone, they went after him. Helios shot him with Excalibur magic, and he dodged it. Everyone started hitting them with their powers. But he disappeared before their eyes. Before they could know it, he was with Karla.

Karla shot him with Moon magic, but he dodged.

"It's you and me now, Karla Allen." He says while laughing maniacally. 

He took out an eclipses laser and hit her shoulder. She dropped on the earth and then rose. She raised her hand and a sword appeared before their eyes.

He looked amazed as she sliced the earth.

"You have such a sharp blade, Karla." He teleports before her eyes and they stared at their faces. Face to face.

He smirked. She was flattered, and she holds her throat. He feels something odd.

"The moon pearl, where is it?" He whispers as he searches her throat. He grinned. 

"Tsk wasted my time." He turns around and then flies at the moon. The end of midnight is here. The lunar eclipse happened.

He throws the eclipses pearl and a portal opened right in the moon. He jumped in and disappeared. 

"We need to catch him!" Hawking protests. 

Everyone fled to the portal. Helios grabbed Karla who had run unconscious. He took her with him to the portal.

The portal disappeared in the moon, and the dragons outrun the sky.
