Chapter 3

Anderson walked to the bed and sat beside Kit, who's choosing a new movie they could watch together. Even though Anderson could not understand himself, he still couldn't help but appreciate Kit's physique. Not too muscular, but perfectly built.

Anderson quickly looked away when Kit turned and crawled back to his place. He smiled when Kit didn't even have to ask him, yet; he could choose a movie he would like. They started watching John Wick 3.

"You know, I really love Keanu Reeves as an actor. He knows his craft, and he gives his heart with every role he plays." Kit commented.

"Oh—yeah, he's my favorite too." Anderson stuttered, distracted from checking on Kit's body.

Anderson wanted to run away. His mind is functioning in an overdrive. He can't understand what he feels and why he feels this way, but he managed to stop himself. He doesn't want to look like an idiot in front of Kit.

But Anderson could not stop looking at Kit in his peripheral vision. Especially his long lashes that make his blue orbs so irresistible. Kit doesn't smoke, so his lips are naturally pink. When Kit would feel Anderson looking at him, Anderson would quickly divert his attention to the movie.

When Kit picked up a chip from the bowl and dip it in the sauce that Anderson made, Anderson couldn't stop his eyes from following his every move. And when Kit licks his lips to remove the stain of sauce, Anderson shifted his gaze and almost drank the whole content of his beer.

"You okay?" Kit asked him in a husky tone.

"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine." Anderson tried to answer him in a normal tone, but his words came out too quickly.

"Are you sure?" Kit leaned forward a little bit and asked again.

When their eyes met, Anderson can no longer think straight. He closed his eyes and moved his face closer to Kit. His brain is shutting down, and all logic is lost. Their kiss started as light, testing, and tempted, but Anderson finally let go when Kit bit his lower lip. They kissed profoundly, with heavy breathes and pounding hearts.

Anderson slowly closed his eyes and let his emotion swallow him. He felt Kit's hand in his face, caressing gently. Then Kit's hand slid through his chest and stayed there. Kit's finger trailed until it reached his nipples and circled around it. Anderson was enjoying, but suddenly, Anderson pulled away, with his eyes wide open.

"I'm sorry, this is a mistake," Anderson said before getting out of bed as he breathes heavily. He immediately picked up all his belongings and ran out of the room.

Kit was left dumbfounded, regretful, and hurt. He realized that he shouldn't have kissed him. He should have stopped himself. Left with no choice, Kit cleaned the room and went back to his hotel.

Anderson walked out of the hotel, panting and confused. He didn't know what happened or what kind of spirit possessed him to kiss a man. If his family and friends would know about what happened, they will disown him.

"Hey, handsome." His thoughts were interrupted when someone greeted him. He saw four gays standing a few feet away from him. They all look like women in the way they dress and their long hair.

"Please, just go away," Anderson shouted. They walked away, looking at him like he's some weird psychopath. Anderson let out a deep sigh and decided that he should leave the place.

When Kit went out of Anderson's hotel, he tried to look for him, but he couldn't find him anywhere. He was worried because it's Anderson's first time in Pagudpud, and he might get in trouble if he roams around in the middle of the night. But Anderson was nowhere to be found.

"God, where are you?" Kit asked himself. He was about to check his phone when he remembered he never had the chance to get Anderson's mobile number.

"Stupid!" Kit grabbed his hair out of frustration.

He knew it would be useless to roam around without knowing where Anderson went, so Kit decided to go back to his hotel room. As he passed by the hotel's restaurant, he thought of buying a few beers to help himself fall asleep better, so he did.

"Hey, where have you been? We're so worried. We thought something happened to you." Akiro was sitting on a couch near Kit's room when he arrived.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Kit replied, but his face says otherwise.

"Are you sure? And why do you have so many beers? You look drunk already." Akiro stated when he saw the batch of beers in his hands.

"Are Chevvy and Marlie still awake? Let's go to my room and drink. Come on." Kit responded before walking towards his room.

"Uh, yeah. I'll call them." Akiro ran to their friends' room to call them.

In Kit's room, his friends quietly observed him and asked themselves why he was in a bad mood. But they can't get a chance to ask him because he was doing things nonstop. He opens their beer bottle, fixes a finger snack for them. All they did was watch him until he finally sat down.

"Uhm, sis, are you okay?" Marlie finally asked.

"Huh?" Kit replied like he just woke up from a deep sleep. He looks like he's not even aware that his friends were inside his room.

"Kit, did something happened?" Chevvy asked. They were all bothered by how he looks like.

"Nothing. I'm fine." Kit forced a smile, but his friends knew him so well. They all shook their head and decided to keep quiet.

The four of them drank until the sun comes up, and eventually, Kit finally fessed up. They listened to him as he rants about a guy he met the other day. They all felt bad about him because he really looks hurt by the way that guy left.

"He just ran away. Like I'm some kind of a sick dude, and he could get infected by my disease." Kit complained.

When Kit finally fell asleep, the three of them cleaned his room and put him on his bed. They feel sorry about him. They knew that Kit doesn't always let his emotions get involved in his life because all it did was bring him pain.

----------

When Anderson left the hotel, he decided to go back to Manila. So he went to the bus station and waited for the first trip to arrive. After an hour of waiting, Anderson fell asleep, and he just wakes up when the station guard tapped his shoulder. His heart was heavy because he genuinely enjoys being in Pagudpud. He enjoyed his company. But something is happening to him, and he doesn't like it.

"Mom, good morning. I'm coming home." Anderson called his mom the moment he sat in his seat on the bus.

As the passengers boarded, a small part of him was hoping he could see him again. But he tried to wash it away. It will be a long trip, so he plugged his earphones, listened to his favorite playlist, and slept.
