48. The Chef

I felt a lump stuck in my throat. My wishes were different from my actions. My own rules, my own beliefs, were standing in the way of this relationship. I stayed silent for a moment, with my head bent towards my heels. I shivered, feeling the cold on my skin, as the wind waved my hair in slow motion.

“I guess... I am,” I sighed and looked up at him.

His warmth and his perfume comforted me when he enveloped me in his arms. The tight hug was short, as he moved just a little to let our lips touch in a playful, passionate kiss. I could sense his positive emotions, but my heart couldn’t enjoy this moment fully. I had to figure this out. If I was going to have a boyfriend, my blog had to stop existing. I had to delete it and hide it ever existed. Then, I had to find a job before I run out of money.
