49. Carry me

The Chef and the waiter moved nervously at their place, looking around to check how big of a scene I had managed to cause. Part of me was actually having fun with this play, but another was feeling sorry for them.

“No, miss! Kindly, lower your voice. I am sure we can settle this,” Alex pleaded, but his eyes were throwing bolts of lightning my way.

“I am not paying for this. My father is a renowned food critic. I will let him know what I encountered here,” I almost yelled, making a wide gesture with my hand to show the whole dining area.

This time, Alex came closer to me and I could tell he was still angry when he placed his hand on the white cover, resting his weight on the table. “There is no need to do this. Just let me know what it is that you want...miss.”
