Chapter 73

“Michael?” she called his name in surprise as she has not seen him for a while now.

Michael smiled on seeing her and he pushed his glasses up while holding on to the arm of his backpack with his other hand.

“Hello, Miss Josephine,” he greeted. “It is good to see you again.”

“You too,” Josephine said with a smile and quickly moved to the side. “Please come inside.”

Michael walked inside the apartment and Josephine shut the door before leading him towards the chair to sit.

“Actually, I came to see the Boss,” Michael said and Josephine turned to face him. “He has been absent from work for the past few days now and I have not been able to reach him.”

Josephine just came to realize that no one really knows what happened to Lucas except her, his friends and the other people present that day. “Uhm...he is not around at the moment. There is something he needs to take care of and I am not sure of when he will be back, but I don’t think it is anytime soon,” she said to him.
