Mag-log inHe is my best friend's father, the Alpha. He is older, forbidden and completely out of reach. I have spent two years hiding my want and hiding every filthy prayer I whispered to the Moon Goddess about him. However, one summer in his pack house changes everything. Charles Reid doesn't do innocent. D He doesn't do gentle and definitely doesn't do anything except exactly what he wants — and what he wants is me. God help me because I am not running. Why should I? He is the object of my most filthiest imagination.

I never prayed for a mate, not even after my twentieth birthday, two years after hitting eighteen. The only prayer I whispered to the Moon Goddess for two years remained the same. “Taking Daddy's filthy command and moaning his name loudly as he knots me.” Forbidden, right? But that's what I had been craving. It had been two years since I started seeing the Alpha as more than my best friend's father. Two years of secretly touching myself and imagining it was his hands roaming all over my body as I drove myself to climax. I was lying in the guest bed of the Mist cloud pack house, staring at the ceiling, fingers curled around the hem of my oversized shirt, when Iris knocked. I recognised the three soft raps. It was our code since we were sixteen. I rolled off the bed and cracked the door open. Iris stood in the dim hallway, already dressed in a tiny bikini top and shorts that barely qualified as fabric. "The party has started," she whispered. "Iris, your father said…" I started but she cut me off before I could finish. "Reina, are you not tired of always playing by the rules?" She snorted, tugging me by the wrist. "What's the fun in that?" "The fun is not getting killed by an Alpha." I pointed out squarely. Her father, Alpha Charles was the most terrifying man I'd ever met when he wasn't the center of my fantasy. "I am not missing the opportunity of getting fucked by Roman by the pool whether my dad is watching or not." She replied as if it was the most reasonable reply ever given. I could only shake my head. “ You two aren't even official.” I reminded her. “ Fuck official. I just want to get laid already.” I knew I wasn't going to convince her so I stopped trying. The idea was terrible yet why did the thought of getting caught send something delicious and utterly sinful straight to my core? Charles never allowed Iris and I to attend the pack’s summer parties despite hitting the legal age two years ago. He always said something to do with “not get tainted” Well, I guess tonight is our night to understand how tainted we can get. We slipped our matching white bunny masks on at the top of the basement stairs and descended. The heat hit first. The pool glowed blue, bodies moving in and around it with zero inhibition. Drinks were everywhere accompanied with low and filthy music. Iris spotted Roman within thirty seconds. "Find someone to give your v-card to," she said, winking before moving toward him. "Tonight feels like the night." With Iris gone, I stood there masked, wearing a revealing bikini and surrounded by unmated males and females. I watched a couple kissing against the far wall and another pair in the pool who had stopped pretending they were swimming. Bodies tangled with no shame. Something ached low in my stomach. Just like that, my mind did what it always did. Went to him. Charles Reid. The way his dark gaze found me across a room when he thought I wasn't paying attention. The way it lingered hungrily before he looked away like nothing happened. The way his hand came to the top of my head sometimes, patting me with that low voice. “Good girl.” That is what he called me every time he patted my head. I pressed my thighs together. That was the problem. It had always been the problem. He touched me like I was something to be managed and my body responded like I was something that wanted to be ruined. Two very different things. Two years of pretending otherwise. I thought about his big hands, how they would feel smacking my ass… I thought about the outline I'd accidentally seen once through his sweatpants. What it would feel like for a man like that to decide he wanted to ruin me completely. ‘Stop it.’ I childed myself inwardly. I grabbed a drink off a passing tray and took a long sip. "Are you alone?" I turned and found a man standing beside me. He was tall, lean and a mask covering the top half of his face. I could see his easy smile peeking through the mask. "Looks like it," I replied, suddenly feeling anxious. I might have agreed to accompany Iris in this wild party, but I had zero intention of getting entangled with anyone…well unless it's Alpha Charles…my best friend's father and the object of my fantasy. "Would you mind my company?" I should have said no, found Iris dragged her upstairs. "Sure," I said instead. He was easy to talk to, that was the thing. He leaned against the wall beside me and asked easy questions and laughed at the right moments. For a little while I almost felt normal, like a girl at a party and nothing more complicated than that. "Can I ask your name?" I smiled behind my mask. "That's what the masks are for." He laughed. "Fair enough." His gaze dropped briefly to my chest and back up. "You are beautiful," he said simply, like it was just a fact he was reporting. "Thank you," I said. I felt the unfamiliar warmth of it settle somewhere I usually kept locked. Then…he stepped closer. Then I felt it, a burning gaze directed to me. My head snapped on instinct. The second floor balcony was shrouded by darkness but I saw him. He was not doing anything except standing there and watching me like he was daring me. Alpha Charles. Even from here, I felt the full weight of that stare land on my body. My mouth went dry and panic clawed my insides. "Excuse me," I said. The man beside me blinked. "Already?" He asked but I was already moving. I walked through the crowd, toward the stairs and away from the party. . My legs were trembling with each step I took. I couldn't tell if it was from panic or something else…something dirty and filthy. I told myself it was the drink. The hallway upstairs was quiet and dark… and suspiciously empty. I exhaled and pressed my back against the wall, eyes closed and my heart hammering. After convincing myself I didn't have to get all worked up just because I thought Alpha Charles was watching me, I pushed off the wall and walked straight into him. Charles Reid stood in the middle of the hallway, fully dressed and completely still…like he'd been waiting. The air left my lungs. He looked at me unhurriedly. Taking in the bikini, the mask pushed up on my head, the drink still in my hand. The silence stretched. Then his voice came. Low. Quiet. Almost conversational. "You like that kind of stuff?" He asked, his eyes raking me with an intensity that had my pussy dripping like a fucking tap. "You like watching whores being used and stretched?" He continued. “ Is that what you are craving right now? Walking around all aroused?” My face burned and my core clenched. I opened my mouth but nothing came out. Charles Reid held my gaze for one more devastating second. Then he turned and walked away.CHAPTER 49REINA'S POV I caught up with Iris right outside the main showroom doors. She was standing by the glass railing near the entrance, her arms folded tightly over her chest, kicking a small pebble off the concrete curb with the toe of her shoe."Iris, wait up," I said, catching my breath as I stopped beside her."I can't stand her, Reina," Iris snapped immediately, turning to me with her cheeks flushed red from anger. "I literally cannot stand her. She acts like she can tell me what to do or influence my decision just because my dad lets her tag along.""I know, she's annoying," I said softly, placing a hand on her shoulder. "But you're really going to let her ruin this for you? Your dad offered to buy you a car today, Iris. Any car you want."Iris scoffed, looking away toward the parking lot. "I'm not going back in there so she can keep throwing little fake-nice jabs at me.""Then don't let her," I reasoned, leaning against the railing beside her. "If you walk away right now
CHAPTER 48REINA'S POV My head was still banging from the alcohol I drank at Micah's place last night. What's worse was that my lower back hurt like crazy and I had unsurprisingly slept in after such a wild night and now I was running late.“Shoot, Iris is going to kill me,” I literally raced up to our apartment to find no one home.“I'm waiting for you at the park close by,” Iris’s text popped up.I hurriedly had my bath and changed into new clothes before running down to the park to meet up with her. Naturally, she was waiting by the closest bench to the road with her hands on her hips, tapping her foot on the ground."Well, look who finally decided to grace me with her presence!" Iris called out the second I walked up to her."I am so sorry," I said, quickening my pace to reach her. "I lost track of time while getting ready.""Lost track of time, my ass," Iris snickered, sliding into the driver's seat of our temporary rental while I got into the passenger side. "You went complete
CHAPTER 47REINA'S POV By six o'clock on Friday evening, Micah was standing right outside our apartment door, wearing a fitted shirt and jacket that made him look stupidly attractive. He carried a single red rose, presenting it to me with that charming grin of his."For you," he said, stepping into the hallway.“I half expected you to come with a truckload of bouquets,” I laughed as I accepted the flower from him.“I was going to but I had a feeling you'd think I was doing too much,” he admitted.“I'm glad you did this instead because I wouldn't have known what to do with so many flowers,” I smelled the rose before setting it down on the entryway console table. "Where are we going?""You'll see when we get there," he chuckled, offering me his arm.He took us to an upscale Italian restaurant on the north side of town. The ambiance inside was soft and cozy, lit by low candlelight with quiet jazz music playing in the background. The entire evening felt dreamy in so many ways.Over dinn
CHAPTER 46REINA'S POV Surprisingly enough, Steven actually kept his word.Sure, I warned him about that but I didn't really think he'd be this obedient. He stopped texting me for no reason, even the subtle threats in the middle of class had all stopped. It was as if the moment we crossed that line on Micah’s living room couch, the leverage he had been holding over my head simply ceased to exist. If anything, we barely spoke directly to each other over the next few days. When our friend group met up for quick lunches between lectures or walked out of the faculty building together, Steven stayed surprisingly quiet, keeping his distance and letting Micah do most of the talking. But that didn't mean things were back to normal.Every time I saw him, the memory of what we'd done will keep flashing in my head. And no, it wasn't guilt I felt, surprisingly. Instead, a feeling I couldn't quite put a name on was slowly growing inside of me. A desire birthed from the thrill that came with che
