"I know you don't like me, and being in this house is like being in prison, but out there, pretend that you are in love with me and can't do anything without me," Hayden whispered without turning.

Pretend to love him? I did love him once, with everything I was, and looking at him trying to mask that I hurt his feelings, those delightful lips pulled into a frown, I do think that those feelings are growing again.

"If it is too hard of a request for you to do, then I can offer you something—maybe a diamond? Money? Or maybe I can pretend to be anything you want me to be for a day?"

Give me something. He already spent enough on me today, from the clothes to the stylists.
