Today marked our third week of our stay in this hospital.
I sat at a table inside the hospital's cafeteria. Evelyn sat across from me. My brother had stayed behind to sit next to Jake while Evelyn dragged me down here to eat.
I glanced at a small speck on the table, my mind completely spaced out. My right hand placed on the table in front, between myself and my plate, the other pushing my food from one side of the plate to the next with my fork.
