Realization

The moment he had gone home, he knew he had fucked up. He didn’t know what had come over him but when he heard Skye’s words and how it was phrased, his wolf had come out even before he could suppress it and as a result, it had lashed out to the woman against his own will.

Admittedly, he regretted the words that escaped his mouth the moment it happened. It was unbecoming of him, especially adding Zella to the conversation when the woman was just trying to help both of them.

“I need to apologize to Zella, but god knows when Skye would allow me to ask for her forgiveness.”

As far as he was concerned, how much he had grown to know Skye. She was the type of person who would hold grudges, especially against those she cares for, which unfortunately for him, was her twin, someone with whom he had lashed out with his uncouth mouth.

Even if Zella did forgive him, a chance that he was slowly doubting by the second, Skye wouldn’t. He was sure of that, a hundred percent.
