Deception

SOPHIA'S POV

 It's been a few weeks since I became friends with the Royalties but it looks like Clyde doesn't like me for reasons that I don't know. He's always hostile to me. To be more precise he's hostile only to me but he's old to others. I didn’t remember I did something bad that would result in him getting mad at me. Maybe it’s because of the trouble that I caused when I fainted. Alexa said he is the one who brought me to the clinic maybe because I’m too heavy for him.

 We are here now in the classroom they are listening because the prof is discussing. Yes, you’re right 'they' because they are the only ones who are listening. I’m not listening because I am too sleepy. I wasn't able to have a proper sleep.

 It's been a few weeks since I entered the academy and I've always had nightmares about the man who says I'm the only one I can't see his face because darkness always covers his face. I’m so annotated because I already look like a zombie because of my eye bags. Eventually, I did not realize that I had fallen asleep.

 "Miss Sandoval!"

 Ugh! Who is the idiot who disturbed my sleep! This is the first time that I slept well without those creepy nightmares and I will just get disturbed? I countlessly cursed in my head the person who disturbed my precious sleep. When I raised my head I glared at the one who disturbed my sleep.

 I think he is our professor if I’m not mistaken. I saw that he got startled when I look at him.

 "Did you just called my name? Do you need anything?" I said while still staring at him.

 "O-oh, it’s nothing," he stuttered

Then the bell rang. Finally, it’s break time! We immediately went out and went to the cafeteria and ate.

 After a while, Yna suddenly spoke

 "Hey, Sophie why do you always seem to be asleep? Can't you sleep well in your dorm?" Yna asked worriedly

 "Don't mind me. It doesn't matter. I am perfectly fine" I lied

 "Okay, if you said so," Yna shrugged, not totally convinced with what I had said.

 "Uhm Sophie, can we ask you?” Alexa asked

 "Sure," I said completely jittery but I tried to hide it by smiling.

 "What are your parent's names?" Alexa asked

 "Francis and Beatrice Sandoval." I lied

 "Where are they?" Vanessa asked

 "They already passed away." I lied again

 "Oh, sorry," Vanessa said

 "It's okay. I already accepted that they have gone." I said

 "Do you have a birthmark on your body?" Blaze asked

 I was caught off guard by his question. Why did he suddenly ask me that? Are they the people who want to kill me? I hope not because I already feel comfortable with them. I'm starting to get agitated. It seems that they are interrogating me.

 "No. I haven't." I said I remembered that Alexa and Drake could read minds. I just hope they didn't read what I was thinking.

 "Can you tell us about your childhood days?" drake asked

 What the heck? Why they're asking me about that?

 "Sorry but I can't," I said

 I can't tell them about my childhood. Not now that there’s a possibility that they are the ones who wanted to kill me.

 "It’s okay we understand," Drake said

 "Who really are you?" Clyde asked bluntly all of a sudden that made me feel agitated. I clenched my fist.

 I was surprised by his question. Maybe he is already suspicious or maybe he already knows that I am lying to them?

 "What are you talking about?" I said as I was trying to mask the shock at the questions of these men they keep throwing on me!

 Then the bell rang. It means the class will start again. I was saved by the bell. I sighed with relief.  

 "Let's just continue that later. We have to go to the room or else we are going to be late," said Yna

 And we left and went to the classroom exactly when we entered as the prof also just entered. 

 After a while, the class has finished so we went back to our respective dorms.

 ALEXA'S POV

 We are here in Drake's dorm and talking about what happened earlier in the cafeteria.

 "Did you read what Sophie was thinking earlier Alexa? Is she telling the truth?" Blaze asked

 I bowed to his question.

 "Sorry but I can't read her mind," I said

 "What?! Damn Alexa! It's impossible. She's just a weak girl who doesn't even know her powers so how come you can't read her mind?" Clyde angrily shouted that made me jumped with fear. 

 I felt like I want to cry at what he said. That's how Clyde becomes harsh when it comes to trusting other people since the princess disappeared.

 "Enough Clyde! It wasn't Alexa's fault because I can't read her mind too! She's not weak like what you think!" Drake shouted

 What the?! He also was not able to read Sophie's mind? It’s so impossible. He is the prince of all princes it means he is strongest aside from Clyde because they are just equal when it comes to strength. He is the strongest man in Ausgburg so it's impossible that a woman who does not even know her power.

 "What if she's an enemy? Or a spy from the Dark Creatures?" Clyde asked

 "No! You're wrong! She is not an enemy! And I know you know that. You can feel it too, right? I am comfortable with her and I know you also feel the same!" Vanessa said

 Vanessa is right, I am also comfortable with her and I can feel that she's not an enemy.

 "Did you notice that she seemed surprised when we asked him if she had a birthmark, she did not tell us about her childhood and she was also surprised when I asked who she really was?" Clyde asked suspiciously

 "That's not the only thing that's strange about her," Clyde added

 "Huh? What are you talking about?" Yna and I asked confused

 "Her blood, it's different. The smell of her blood has a pleasant scent. To the point that I'm having a hard time controlling myself from drinking her blood. Fortunately, I was able to control myself." Clyde said

 "That goes the same for me," said Drake

 "So I'm not the only one who felt that?" Clyde asked and drake nodded

 "Even me. I felt the same way," Blaze agreed

 "Me too," Clarence said

 But how? How did that happen? The 4 of them mostly Clyde are known for being skilled in suppressing their bloodthirst. But they still had a hard time controlling their bloodthirst and worse in a female transferee?

 "All we have to do right now is observe her and find out who she really is," Drake said

 And we all agreed with what Drake said.

 And then we went back to our respective dorms and slept. But before I could fall asleep a question formed in my mind.

 'Who really are you, Sophia Sandoval?'
