Tony hated hospitals with a passion. Being in the building reminded him constantly of how he failed to protect his mate and child. The rage he felt was endless, especially because it was his own father that had caused him to lose what he loved most. What had he done to deserve this fate? Why was he allowed to live instead of Rain and Christian? His father had broken several of his bones to prevent him from saving his family, but Tony desire was to die alongside them.

The agony that he felt when he felt Rain’s life slip away was unbearable. It made him feel as if his life was meaningless. Even in an unconscious state, he felt every ounce of Rain being murdered. It was bad enough that he witnessed his son’s throat being violently torn out by his own father. And he had just sworn to the love of his life that he would always protect their son.

It was early in the morning when Tony had awaken from his coma. It took a few days for his body to recover enough to wake him from his injuries. He laid in a hospital bed not wanting to face the world because of his failures. He even found himself crying, but sat up and wiped away his tears. It was raining outside, the sound of rain drops pounding on the roof of the hospital building. As he sat in his hospital bed, he fumed with rage at the fact that he was the only person to survive the attack.

As he tried to calm himself from his loss, the hospital room door opened quietly. Beta James entered the room, Tony surprised by his presence. How could he look this man in his face when he failed to protect his daughter and grandchild? Tony wouldn’t be surprised if his Beta was there to finish him off.

“Are you here to kill me?”Tony bluntly asked his leader. Beta James had an expressionless look on his face and he didn’t speak as he grabbed the chair from a table in the room, sitting at Tony’s bedside.

“No, I came to speak with you,” Beta James explained. Tony didn’t detect any anger coming from his Beta. How could he be calm when he just lost his daughter?

“I couldn’t protect them,” Tony said with shame.

“You weren’t destined to protect them Tony. I came to tell you the truth. Christian was never born to survive.” Beta James told him and Tony stared at him in confusion. Was this man fucking crazy? Had he lost his mind because of the death of his family?

“I don’t understand. You said he was important to the pack, that he needed to be protected to bring peace to all packs in the future. How can you sit there and tell me now that my son’s purpose was never to live?” Tony asked him.

“I bent the truth a little. My mate did have a vision about Christian. And yes, it was important for him to be born into this world. However, he was destined to die and so was Rain. One thing about legends is that there always seems to be a lack of truth. The Ultima Alpha did exist at one point, but they come into this world in an unexpected way,” Beta James spoke calmly.

“ I don’t understand. You said Christian was the Ultima Alpha. You’re telling me now that he wasn’t?” Tony asked.

“His birth and death were necessary to create the true Ultima Alpha. Jennifer had a vision of the first living Ultima Alpha, who was a she-wolf. She was born with talent and strength. She had been mated to an alpha male and she bore a child. During childbirth, both she and her child lost their lives. But she resurrected, absorbing her child’s power and abilities.”Beta James explained. There was a long pause, silence surrounding the room. Tony was anticipating hearing the remainder of the story. Then, he thought about Rain. She had unique strength like no other she-wolf. In the end, her life was taken by her father without conflict.

Tony contemplating on questions to ask about the Ultima Alpha legend. Before words could escape his mouth, Tony gasped. He felt the same warmth and bond he felt around his mate. He quickly got out of bed and left the room. As he walked down the hallway, his heart began to race faster until he stood outside one of the hospital rooms.

As Tony opened the door to the room, he nearly collapsed at the site of Rain lying in a hospital bed. Her body was lifeless but she seemed at peace. Tony didn’t understand why he could feel her presence, her hospital monitor clearly showing no signs of life. Even in death, she was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. The flatline across the monitor suddenly began to show signs of life. That was when Tony’s wolf ears heard a heartbeat that was not his own. Rain was waking up and Tony couldn’t believe what he was seeing in that moment. How was this possible? That was when Beta James entered the room, Tony glancing at Tony. His Beta smiled softly to him, but he remained silent.

“What’s happening?” Tony asked in almost a whisper.

“Like I said about the legends of the Ultima Alpha. The mother lost her life alongside her child, her child’s power and strength transferring to the mother. What you didn’t let me finish saying before you ran off was that the mother was resurrected by that power, becoming the first and only Ultima Alpha wolf in existence. Rain is destined to become the next.”Beta James said softly.

Tony walked up to Rain, her eyes opening slowly. Her eyes glowed a golden color, the same color as the aura that had surrounded their son. All Tony could do was smile, Rain smiling back at him.

“Welcome back,” Tony said softly and kissed her hand.

“It’s good to be back,” She spoke weakly, sounding as if she suffered from exhaustion. Tony thought for a moment and realized her injury had caused her to lose a lot of blood. He should be surprised that she woke up feeling the effects of her bleeding to death. It was a miracle that she woke up at all.

Tony stared at Rain with love and admiration. He had just witnessed her resurrection from the dead. Not only was she alive, she was now the new Legendary Ultima Alpha. Somehow, Tony knew that their lives were about to change. Rain would be the person that would cause these changes to take place. Tony silently swore to himself that he would always remain by her side. He had always known that Rain was special, but he could finally admit to himself that he was deeply in love with her. He lost her once, but he would make sure he never lost her again.

  • Legendary Ultima Alpha   Chapter 12: Christian

Rain couldn’t be happier in her life. After leaving Shadow Academy, Emma took them to a secluded cabin miles away deep within an isolated forest. She knew that this was the same cabin location from the vision her unborn child shared with her. Months had passed and Rain had given birth to a handsome baby boy. She named him Christian, just as his name was always destined to be. A year had passed since they fled the academy, and Christian was now 3 months old. Giving birth had been quite the experience for Rain. She had such a complicated birthing experience that she almost lost her life. In the end, both her and her baby pulled through just fine. She spent most days cuddling her infant, knowing that her time with him was limited. He was handsome like Tony, having his father’s incredible gray eyes. Unlike Tony’s brownish hair, Christian had golden blonde hair like Rain. He was indeed a very powerful and special child. Not only did he share his visions with them often, Christian never b

Rain stared at Beta James. This man was her biological father, and he confirmed the vision given to her by her unborn child. She felt a sudden warmth within her, wondering if it was her baby causing her to feel that way or because she finally knew about her past. “Why are you telling me this now?”Rain asked Beta James. He studied her face as if he was in deep thought. She couldn’t tell if she saw fear or anticipation from his facial expressions. “What did Christian show you?” He asked her. Rain wasn’t surprised that he knew that she had gotten a vision from her unborn child or that he knew his name. “Christian?” Tony said in confusion. “Rain’s mother saw both of your futures, including your son’s future. He will be unlike anyone in this pack,” Beta James explained. There was a long pause, Rain watching Tony as he came to the realization that he was going to have a son. “He showed me the day you took me to live with Emma,” Rain said truthfully. “That was the last day I saw

The sunlight from Tony’s bedroom window woke Rain up the next morning. She had never felt as rested as she did in that moment. It was so early that no one in the dorms were awake. Rain quickly sat up, realizing she fell asleep in the male dorm area. According to the rules, she could be locked up in a dungeon or beaten for breaking this sacred rule. “Relax, you won’t be punished. I will never let anything happen to you,” Tony spoke and Rain looked up to see Tony staring at her. They smiled to one another, Tony sitting up and kissing her softly on her lips. Rain relaxed, all her fears evaporating whenever he touched her. “I still should get back. Make sure you win today,” she told him and smiled. “If you are there, then I will make sure I keep my title,” he told her. Rain dressed and snuck out of his room. She quickly walked to the female dorms when she ran into Alpha Leo. Despite falling for his son, Rain had a strong feeling that Alpha would never approve of them being togethe

Rain cried until she passed out from exhaustion. She fell into a deep sleep on one of the lounge chairs. When she opened her eyes, Tony was sitting on the ground beside her. He must have been there for a while because he was fast asleep. She slowly sat up and he opened his eyes, sitting up to look at her. “Why are you here?” She asked sadly, exhaustion in her voice. “I’m sorry Rain,” he apologized. “You don’t owe me anything.” She said emotionless. “It doesn’t change that I hurt you.” He told her sympathetically. Their eyes locked, but Rain forced herself to look away from him. She stood up and fixed her clothes. “Just stay away from me. It’ll make it easier for the both of us,” she told him. “You can’t hurt people I sleep with because you’re angry with me,” he told her. “I’ll do whatever the fuck I please. Who’s going to stop me? You?” Rain said coldly and she could see fear in his eyes. “I only fucked around with Mya because I wanted to forget you. I wasn’t thinking

For the rest of the week, Rain stayed in her dorm crying. Kylie stayed by her side after Rain told her what happened in the library. Kylie tried to cheer her up, but there was nothing she could say that would make Rain feel as if she hadn’t been rejected by her mate. The night before the first day of training, Rain woke up in the middle of the night screaming in pain. Tony was being intimate with someone and her wolf lost her fucking shit. Rain’s wolf felt feelings of rage, pain, and envy simultaneously. Her mate was with another woman and her wolf was grieving by his actions. Why was he doing this to her? He knew it would hurt her. Kylie laid in bed with Rain, her scent soothing her just enough to lessen her pain. They fell asleep together, Rain crying herself to sleep. Rain woke up the next morning pissed off. She knew it was her wolf making her feel that way. She felt as if she were in a daze as she dressed in her uniform and readied herself for training. After she dressed, sh
