Eric was the last person Rain wanted to see as she set goals to make improvements in her life. She realized that she didn’t want him in her life at all. There was a time where she only wanted to be around him; but that time was now over. Staring up at her ex-boyfriend, she fought the urge to rip out his throat. Her wolf was telling her to kill him for his betrayal. He stood confidently in front of her, which pissed her off. She knew there was nothing he could say to make her want to get back in a relationship with him.

Rain found herself trying to calm her wolf before she initiated herself to shift. Lately, she had been finding it difficult to control her wolf. She didn’t know if it was because she had so many mixed emotions or if it was happening due to stress. Eric was definitely getting under her skin. He always had that effect on her. How could you want someone so badly and want to harm them as well? Rain wanted revenge for him breaking her heart. She hated him for what he did to her. In the back of her mind, she couldn’t argue that she was still sexually attracted to him. After all, they had been lovers for a year and a half.

As he stood in front of her like a lost puppy, she noticed the sadness in his eyes. She knew he was sorry for what he had done, but she made a promise to herself that she would never fall for his lies again. She didn’t want to forgive him because deep in her heart, she knew that Monica wasn’t the only person he had cheated on her with. She knew he couldn’t be trusted with her heart.

“Can we talk?” He asked cautiously. Rain sighed and slowly stood up, their eyes fixated on each other. She didn’t understand why he thought she’d forgive him and pretend he never cheated on her.

“What do you possibly have to say to me Eric?” Rain asked coldly. She wasn’t angry anymore, but she still didn’t want to be around him. Her wolf was calm and patient, eager to hear his answer.

“Listen, I know I’m the last person you want to see. But I can’t stop thinking about you.” He told her and Rain laughed. Did he really think she would believe that she would get back with him?

“Sorry. Try harder,” Rain told him and he suddenly looked angry.

“You belong with me. Whether you fucking like it or not,” he told her. It angered her that he felt as if she belonged to him. Who the hell did he think he was?

“Last time I checked I didn’t belong to anyone. And I will never fucking belong to you again. Get away from me Eric,” Rain warned, starting to have feelings of rage again.

“Or you’ll what?” Eric asked, grabbing her arm. Rain watched as he gripped her arm, causing her to slowly look up into his eyes. All he wanted to do was possess her, and she hated him for that. Rain’s breathing quickened and her eyes turned a reddish color. Her wolf was now in control. Eric held her arm so tightly that there was a loud snapping sound, insinuating that he fractured it. However, Rain’s rage prevented her from crying out in pain. She was losing control and a simple fracture was the least of her worries. This behavior was unlike her and she didn’t know why it was happening. Why was she struggling to control her wolf? Her breathing quickened and she felt herself trying to change. She quickly began to relax when someone grabbed Eric’s arm, forcing him to release her. It was Tony, Alpha Leo’s son. He twisted Eric’s arm, Eric crying out in pain. The look in his eyes was pure rage, the same feeling Rain felt towards Eric in that moment.

“I’m pretty sure she said to get away from her,” Tony told him in a controlled voice, Rain noticing his eyes flashing red. Why was he mad and why was he helping her? Tony released Eric and pushed him backwards hard enough that Eric stumbled and nearly fell to the ground. Even though he was caught off guard, Eric caught himself before falling to the ground. He slowly began backing away from Tony, who hadn’t taken his eyes off of him. Tony just stared at him, his aura changing. Eric felt the power of an Alpha radiating off of Tony, power that made several wolves nearby bow to him. Eric fought against him, but began to lower his head in submission. Eric wasn’t an Elite wolf, so he didn’t have a choice but to obey Tony’s wolf command.

“Yea Alpha. My apologies,” Eric spoke, glanced at Rain, and then walked away both embarrassed and pissed off. Tony didn’t take his eyes off of Eric until he put distance in between them. Tony then slowly turned toward Rain, their eyes meeting. They stood so close and Rain felt a sense of safety by his closeness. His scent was intoxicating and inviting. Why was she feeling so drawn to a guy she barely knew? He stepped closer to her and looked as if he wanted to kiss her, Rain feeling his breath on her. When he realized what he was doing, he stepped backwards to put a little space between himself and Rain.

“Um, thanks,” Rain said softly. She had this urge to touch him but stopped herself.

“For what?” He asked expressionless and she froze in surprise at his comment. He looked irritated and stared at her a moment before he walked away. That was rude. Why the hell did he bother helping her if he was going to act like an asshole?

Kylie rushed over to Rain, Rain turning her attention to the pretty blonde.

“Are you ok? Your arm!” Kylie said in shock at the injury. This girl was much more caring than she let people see, which made Rain smile.

“It’s almost healed already. It doesn’t hurt,” Rain said in surprise. She had never healed this fast before. Something was definitely going on with her.

“I’m Kylie.” The girl introduced herself.

“Rain,” she spoke and they both smiled. Rain suddenly realized that Kylie was a genuinely kind person. A person she could see herself becoming friends with one day. In that moment, Rain knew she wasn’t going to be alone at Shadow Academy.

Rain, Eric, and Tony spent the next few days developing a plan to overtake Alpha Leo’s territory. Tony watched his mate as she practiced using her new abilities. He had never seen her work so diligently and with determination. He shielded his feelings from her. He didn’t want her to know how it hurt him to see her with his own brother. It was bad enough that his father fucking lied to him his entire life by keeping Eric’s true identity a secret. Tony just couldn’t understand how his father could treat Eric so poorly when he gave everything to Tony without hesitation. His father used and abandoned his eldest son, the son who rightfully should have become the next Alpha. “You all right?” A voice startled Tony out of his deep thoughts. He had been stuck in his head to the point that he hadn’t heard his brother approach him. Tony frowned at his lack of caution. He needed to be more focused, but he had been finding it harder these days to focus on anything but Rain. “Yeah, I’m good,” Ton

Rain fixed her clothing after making love with Tony, both of them returning to their campsite. She felt different, maybe even angry. She felt her aura overpowering everyone, Tony staring at her in confusion. “We need to go home and settle this with your father,” she spoke in a low, emotionless voice, Tony slowly nodding in agreement. “What’s the plan?” He asked her and she looked at him slowly. Rain could see her mate watching her closely, and she knew he could feel her anger. What she didn’t understand was why she was feeling this way all of a sudden. “There is no plan when it comes to war. Either the pack is on our side or they die.” She said and Tony stood up and began to pale, looking down at her in astonishment. “Then that makes you no better than my father. Rain, what’s gotten into you?” He asked and she stood, staring into his gray eyes. “Maybe I just don’t care anymore,” she explained. “This isn’t you, Rain. You will regret killing innocent people. There has to be a

Eric staggered as he spoke to Beta James, feeling a sudden pain in his stomach. He felt Rain becoming intimate with Tony, causing his wolf misery and a sudden feeling of grief. He felt how pleased her wolf was to be with his brother, an emotion he wanted to share with Rain. Just moments ago her wolf was trying to accept Eric as being her mate, but Rain was fighting her feelings towards him. Eric couldn’t blame her for hating and mistrusting him. He hurt her in so many ways over the past few years that he acknowledged that he didn’t deserved her. “You need to learn how to block them if you are going to be mated to my daughter,” Beta James spoke and Eric looked up at him in surprise. Eric wondered if he knew that Rain was fucking Tony at that very moment. He wondered if he could hear them. After all, Beta James was an alpha wolf that took on the role as the pack’s Beta by choice. Powerful Alpha wolves could hear miles away, a gift that Eric never possessed as an Alpha male.. “I don’

  • Legendary Ultima Alpha   Chapter 24: Beta James Returns

Rain woke up to the sound of the river flowing and the sounds of birds and crickets in a distance. Tony was fast asleep beside her, looking peaceful and content. Rain was happy, but she was dreading the war that was about to happen between the Shadow pack and the rogues. She didn’t know what group she was apart of, but she desired to take over the Shadow pack and enforce a better way of life. She didn’t agree how Alpha Leo cast out wolves for being powerless or non-compliant with his rules. As she exited her tent, she took a walk deep into the woods. She suddenly felt a powerful presence and she froze in front of an old oak tree that was slowly decaying. She noticed initials carved into the tree. It read: J & J, which made her smile. She imagined two lovers carving their initials together, something she always thought was a cute gesture. There was a sensitive side to Rain that she never let anyone see. It was a side to her that she’d only ever showed to Tony because she always knew

  • Legendary Ultima Alpha   Chapter 23: Preparing for War

Rain spent a good amount of time talking with Eric about Alpha Leo’s plans. Their former leader’s main objective was to turn Tony against Rain. The new mate bond between her and Eric caused her to feel extreme fear that there was a 50/50 chance that Alpha’s Leo’s plan may be successful. That was a thought that she dreaded, and she would do everything in her power to stop the Alpha from succeeding. When she parted ways with Eric, she used her mate bond to find Tony sitting by the river bank with his feel in the water. He looked as if he were in deep thought, and Rain could see a vulnerability that she had never seen him express since they became mates. She took off her shoes and sat beside him, putting her feet in the cold, but soothing river water. As she sat beside him, he didn’t look her way as he often did when she was in his presence. “I can smell him on you. Was it worth it?” He asked, but Rain couldn’t pinpoint how he was feeling. He was still blocking his emotions from her,

  • Legendary Ultima Alpha   Chapter 22: Eric

The way Eric pinned Rain against the tree only made her want to be move closer to him. He had the look of pure lust in his eyes, which made her body shiver in anticipation. Somehow this new mate bond amplified how desperately he wanted to please every part of her. She couldn’t understand how she could be mated to two different men at once. It was even more fucking bizarre that they so happened to be half brothers. She had a feeling that being an Ultima Alpha she-wolf played a major role in how she was able to acquire both of her mates. “Tell me to stop and I will,” he whispered softly in her ear. Rain melted in his arms, knowing that neither of them had any intentions on stopping the intense urges that they each were feeling. There was no way in hell she was going to ask him to stop. She wanted all of him. Instead of responding, she grabbed his face gently and kissed him passionately. She gasped when he picked her up and lowered her to the ground in a soft patch of grass. He started
