Rain couldn’t be happier in her life. After leaving Shadow Academy, Emma took them to a secluded cabin miles away deep within an isolated forest. She knew that this was the same cabin location from the vision her unborn child shared with her. Months had passed and Rain had given birth to a handsome baby boy. She named him Christian, just as his name was always destined to be. A year had passed since they fled the academy, and Christian was now 3 months old.

Giving birth had been quite the experience for Rain. She had such a complicated birthing experience that she almost lost her life. In the end, both her and her baby pulled through just fine. She spent most days cuddling her infant, knowing that her time with him was limited. He was handsome like Tony, having his father’s incredible gray eyes. Unlike Tony’s brownish hair, Christian had golden blonde hair like Rain. He was indeed a very powerful and special child. Not only did he share his visions with them often, Christian never became ill and his aura was a bright golden color. No wolf ever possessed such a powerful aura, but Christian was no ordinary wolf.

It was a beautiful spring season, the landscaping around the cabin unbelievably beautiful. Rain didn’t want to lose her combat skills, so one afternoon she convinced Tony to spar with her. Christian slept in a bassinet on the front porch and Emma was out getting provisions. Rain needed a distraction because the prior night Emma told them that they would need to return to Shadow Academy as planned. She knew that meant that she would be returning without her child, and that mere thought broke Rain’s heart.

She fought hand to hand combat with Tony, who was shirtless and remained in position. Their relationship had only grown stronger since coming to the cabin. They realized that they weren’t just mates. The honestly did love one another. Now they had a child that they would have to leave behind just to keep him protected. As soon as the thought popped up in Rain’s mind, she hit Tony so hard that the force threw them both backwards to the ground. They each got up, Tony looking at Rain in amazement.

“How the hell did you do that? I’ve never seen you lash out power like that before,” Tony said in surprise.

“I don’t know. I thought about us having to leave Christian behind and it just kind of happened.” Rain responded.

“We talked about this Rain. No one can find out about our son,” Tony reminded her.

“I’m fucking aware of that Tony! It doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it!” Rain said frantically. She knew Tony could feel her rage, so he relaxed and studied her closely. He walked up to her and hugged her, Rain letting her tears stream down her face. She put her arms around her mate and let him hold her.

“He will be all right. I promise you that I’d die before I’d ever let anyone harm him.”Tony reassured her. He let her go and Rain wiped her tears away. That’s when Christian began crying as if he was upset. They both turned, all the blood draining from Rain’s face when she saw Alpha Leo holding her child. He started down at the infant, but there was only pure anger in his eyes. He slowly looked up, looking toward Rain and Tony.

“Dad, what are you doing here?” Tony asked, fear in his voice.

“I knew there was no mission that Beta James claimed to send you on. It took me a long time to find you and this is what I find? A fucking abomination. It’s too bad he has to die,” Alpha Leo stated.

“No!” Rain screamed as their pack leader’s teeth elongated and bit into their child’s throat. Rain had never heard such an agonizing scream from a child so small. Both Rain and Tony stormed up to their pack leader, but Alpha Leo was more skilled than they anticipated. He grabbed them both by their necks, Rain struggling to breathe.

Alpha Leo threw Tony into a tree, Rain hearing how the impact broke several of his bones. Not only did she hear his bones breaking, she felt every ounce of pain Tony was feeling from their mate bond. She could tell he was unconscious by the weakness she began to feel. She couldn’t feel any of Tony’s emotions, which meant he was either asleep or unconscious. Rain knew Tony wasn’t dead because she wasn’t in agonizing pain. She only felt his injuries, which cost her the ability to move her limbs.

Alpha Leo stared angrily and deeply into her eyes. Rain knew he wanted her dead, but she wasn’t afraid.

“My son will heal, but I assure you that you and your abomination will not.” He said cruelly, driving his arm through her stomach. Blood spilled from Rain’s mouth and her vision blurred as she began to rapidly bleed out. Alpha Leo pulled his bloody arm out of her body and let her fall to the ground. Rain couldn’t move. She was dying. She could see her dead infant on the ground in front of her, tears streaming down her face at the horrific site. She couldn’t believe that this was how her life would end. She was powerless and failed to protect her child. She didn’t feel as if she had anything else to live for. She slowly closed her eyes as she lost consciousness. That was when everything went black. All that remained was an endless darkness.

Rain stared at Beta James. This man was her biological father, and he confirmed the vision given to her by her unborn child. She felt a sudden warmth within her, wondering if it was her baby causing her to feel that way or because she finally knew about her past. “Why are you telling me this now?”Rain asked Beta James. He studied her face as if he was in deep thought. She couldn’t tell if she saw fear or anticipation from his facial expressions. “What did Christian show you?” He asked her. Rain wasn’t surprised that he knew that she had gotten a vision from her unborn child or that he knew his name. “Christian?” Tony said in confusion. “Rain’s mother saw both of your futures, including your son’s future. He will be unlike anyone in this pack,” Beta James explained. There was a long pause, Rain watching Tony as he came to the realization that he was going to have a son. “He showed me the day you took me to live with Emma,” Rain said truthfully. “That was the last day I saw

The sunlight from Tony’s bedroom window woke Rain up the next morning. She had never felt as rested as she did in that moment. It was so early that no one in the dorms were awake. Rain quickly sat up, realizing she fell asleep in the male dorm area. According to the rules, she could be locked up in a dungeon or beaten for breaking this sacred rule. “Relax, you won’t be punished. I will never let anything happen to you,” Tony spoke and Rain looked up to see Tony staring at her. They smiled to one another, Tony sitting up and kissing her softly on her lips. Rain relaxed, all her fears evaporating whenever he touched her. “I still should get back. Make sure you win today,” she told him and smiled. “If you are there, then I will make sure I keep my title,” he told her. Rain dressed and snuck out of his room. She quickly walked to the female dorms when she ran into Alpha Leo. Despite falling for his son, Rain had a strong feeling that Alpha would never approve of them being togethe

Rain cried until she passed out from exhaustion. She fell into a deep sleep on one of the lounge chairs. When she opened her eyes, Tony was sitting on the ground beside her. He must have been there for a while because he was fast asleep. She slowly sat up and he opened his eyes, sitting up to look at her. “Why are you here?” She asked sadly, exhaustion in her voice. “I’m sorry Rain,” he apologized. “You don’t owe me anything.” She said emotionless. “It doesn’t change that I hurt you.” He told her sympathetically. Their eyes locked, but Rain forced herself to look away from him. She stood up and fixed her clothes. “Just stay away from me. It’ll make it easier for the both of us,” she told him. “You can’t hurt people I sleep with because you’re angry with me,” he told her. “I’ll do whatever the fuck I please. Who’s going to stop me? You?” Rain said coldly and she could see fear in his eyes. “I only fucked around with Mya because I wanted to forget you. I wasn’t thinking

For the rest of the week, Rain stayed in her dorm crying. Kylie stayed by her side after Rain told her what happened in the library. Kylie tried to cheer her up, but there was nothing she could say that would make Rain feel as if she hadn’t been rejected by her mate. The night before the first day of training, Rain woke up in the middle of the night screaming in pain. Tony was being intimate with someone and her wolf lost her fucking shit. Rain’s wolf felt feelings of rage, pain, and envy simultaneously. Her mate was with another woman and her wolf was grieving by his actions. Why was he doing this to her? He knew it would hurt her. Kylie laid in bed with Rain, her scent soothing her just enough to lessen her pain. They fell asleep together, Rain crying herself to sleep. Rain woke up the next morning pissed off. She knew it was her wolf making her feel that way. She felt as if she were in a daze as she dressed in her uniform and readied herself for training. After she dressed, sh
