I open the door after the first ring and pull up a curve smile wide enough to greet Grandma Birdie standing at the doorstep. Once I shut the door, I could hear my Dad crying, which made me sigh a bit from his exaggerating sensitivity to things that make him cry. I woke up to the sound of noises coming from outside the door.I rose slowly, feeling the weight of exhaustion from school and club meetings.
