Chapter 13 - One Heart Torn In Half
Miyuki walked slowly towards her neighborhood, following the route of the bus she had taken here. Miyuki felt extraordinary peace and contentment until suddenly, when she walked past the smaller street flooded with darkness, she felt someone grab her arm and pulling into this darkness. Miyuki's heart immediately began to beat quickly with fear that enveloped her again like a shroud. She tried to focus on what to do if was about to face some kind of monster, but the fear seemed to drown it all out.
After a few seconds that seemed to be an eternity, Miyuki felt her back touch the wall of the building, and her eyes, gradually accustomed to the darkness around them, begin to perceive a silhouette that resembled a human, standing in front of her. Suddenly, the paralysis she felt left her and Miyuki stretched hand up and a ball of light appeared in it, allowing her to illuminate the darkness. In the following months of 2020, there was still harmony between the creatures of light and darkness. The news of the new sorceress, who had taken the position of defender of this harmony, spread with lightning speed, and soon Miyuki's fame and of her mighty magical power made every being, both good and evil, respectful, and no major conflicts were even thought about, at least for now. But Miyuki felt every day that wielding this enormous power caused her less and less trouble, so she was ready for any circumstance that might happen in the future. She felt more and more that was finally in her place, one where she was fully suited for and which was truly written to her. Miyuki also felt that her grandmother sorceress was watching over her, as well as her parents, even though neither of them had magical powers. And this is how the last story about Light and Darkness that I wanted to present to you ends. It was certainly an extraordinary journey, showing different stories, but at the same time touching the same topic - can two such opposing poles as Light and Darkness connect at some point? I'll leave it to your own choice, but one thing is for sure - as Miyuki said in Book 4, wanting to stop the battle between vampires and wizards - Light and Darkness certainly couldn't exist without each other. If there was only Light but no Darkness, what would be its meaning? Likewise, if there was only Darkness in the world, wouldn't its existence be pointless without trying to "devour" the Light?I think most of us will agree and love both our light and dark sides, because we, as humans, have both of these elements - Light and Darkness.
