Chapter 36

Mel POV

Lathering my hair with shampoo, I situated under the shower, thinking.

“Hey,” William hugged me from behind, “Everything is ok? You seem distant,”

“No, I am just tired,” I lied, overhearing his hired mothers' conversation that night have changed how I viewed William if he lied about that, what else is he lying about. Placing soft kisses on my shoulder, I shrugged him off, “I said I am tired, William,” 

“I— I am sorry,” he apologized lowly,

“I'm going to hop out real quick and make you breakfast ok?”

“Yeah, sure, I will be out in a second,” I told him, it was hard for me to pretend, the annoyance in my voice was and evident. But how could he? Why would he, not being introduced to his parents wasn't this important enough for him to employ strangers to play the part. Turning off the pipe, I opened my eyes, immediately squeezing them shut,
