Chapter 10: Blighted Hope

HUMAN LIFE is analogous to a material thing. At first, it will be more ridiculously expensive because many customers took interest in it because it’s new and trending, but its current worth will diminish over time as many people will start replacing it because they find better quality product than the first one, until it fully loses its value in the eyes of the people.

That is exactly what happened in my life.

At first, I felt love.

I yawned after opening my eyes. I shifted my eyes and attempted to take a stand, but a firm grip on my thigh and homologous pairs restrained me, wrapped tightly around my tummy.

“Mom and Dad... Your hand and foot are both quite hefty,” I said in hushed tones, and attempted to remove their hands away from me, but I could not remove them.

What brute strength does a five-year-old child have compared to two grown-ups?
