Chapter 3

ผู้เขียน: No More Waiting
I kneeled on the broken glass shards for three hours.

Felix only "kindly" let me leave after Portia said she was tired and wanted to sleep.

I trudged back to the warriors' quarters on bloody legs.

None of the wolves dared to help me. Felix had given the order that anyone who helped me was opposing him.

I pulled out the glass shards from my knees and used the strongest alcohol available to disinfect the wounds. The pain was unbearable, making me tremble all over, but I refused to make a sound.

I was a warrior, after all.

This pain was nothing compared to the pain in my heart.

Felix's behavior worsened in the next few days. He ordered me to wash Portia's feet and her underwear, and he also forced me to stand by her side and serve her during meals.

He trampled my pride under his feet and did everything he could to break me, acting as if those were the only ways he could prove his undying love to Portia.

However, I didn't consider leaving despite everything that Felix did to me because I was carrying his pup—the proof of our love for the last five years.

I had wanted to give Felix a surprise, but now the entire situation felt like a colossal joke.

I had to find a chance to leave with my pup, but Felix was watching me like a hawk. He even ordered two Gammas to take turns monitoring me, going so far as to follow me to the bathroom.

"Don't even think about escaping, Selena," Felix warned me. "You're my mate. Even if you have to die, you'll have to die right in front of me. You're not going anywhere unless I don't want you anymore."

The pack hosted a grand banquet on Friday night to celebrate Portia's birthday.

Felix invited all the Alphas from the neighboring packs, wanting all the wolves in the world to know about Portia's return.

I was also forced to attend the banquet. I stood in a corner in my old and battered armor, acting as a bodyguard.

Meanwhile, Portia was wearing a beautiful gown and a diamond necklace that cost a fortune. She looked like a princess as she accepted everyone's blessings.

Felix had his arm wrapped around her waist. He was looking at her with an adoring expression.

"Everyone," Felix called out as he raised his wine glass. "I have two things to announce today. Firstly, I want to officially announce Portia Smith as the Luna of the Silvermoon pack."

Thunderous applause filled the room.

Many wolves shot sympathetic and mocking looks at me, but nobody said a word.

"Secondly—"

Felix paused. He swept his gaze over the crowd before his eyes landed on me. "To bless Portia, I've decided to give her the most precious treasure in the pack."

A chill ran down my spine as an ominous feeling festered in my heart.

Felix stared at me as he continued, "I've decided to give her the Moonstone."

My parents had specially visited the witch to obtain the Moonstone for me.

When Felix had opposed the Moon Goddess for my sake, I had been so moved that I had given the Moonstone to him as a token of my love. Although he had accepted it at that time, during the first anniversary of our mating ritual, he had returned the Moonstone to me on a necklace.

As he looped the necklace around my neck, he had said, "Not only does the Moonstone carry your parents' love, but it also carries my love for you now, Selena. I swear that I'll love you more than your parents did in the days to come."

However, Felix was trying to give Portia the Moonstone at that moment.

I stared at him in disbelief, asking, "Have you lost your mind, Felix? That's our love token."

Felix frowned. His voice was colored with self-righteousness when he said, "Portia likes it. Can you stop being so petty? Don't forget that you usurped her place for so many years."

He was using the same excuse again.

I took a step backward and placed a hand over my chest protectively. "I refuse. Over my dead body, Felix."

Felix's eyes flashed upon hearing my words. "You owe Portia, Selena," he hissed coldly.

Several powerful warriors lunged at me and immobilized my hands and feet before pinning me to the ground.

"Let me go!" I screamed as I struggled wildly. "You can't do this, Felix!"

Felix stalked toward me.

"No… I'm begging you," I said as tears rolled down my cheeks.

It was my first time begging him.

"I'm pregnant, Felix… I'm carrying your pup…"

Felix finally paused. Hesitation flickered in his eyes as he looked at my stomach.

"A pup?" Portia asked as she approached us.

Her face was twisted in shock as she covered her mouth with her hand. "I thought you weren't able to carry pups because of your past injuries, Selena. Are you lying to Felix because you don't want to give me the Moonstone?"

Felix's gaze immediately turned glacial.

"I'm not lying!" I screamed. "I'm telling the truth! I've been expecting for two months!"

"We can ask the healer to verify the validity of her words," Portia suggested.

It didn't take long for the healer of the pack to arrive. I could immediately tell that he was working with Portia. He pretended to give me a check-up before shaking his head and declaring, "Selena isn't expecting, Alpha. Her stomach is just a little swollen."

"Liar!" I roared. "You damned cheat! You're working for Portia!"

"That's enough!" Felix shouted as he got to his feet while wearing a look of disdain. "I didn't think you would stoop so low, Selena. I'm so disappointed in you."

He transformed his hand into a claw after he was done speaking and pulled the Moonstone necklace from my neck.

The cold, metal necklace snapped and sliced my skin.

Excruciating pain lanced through my stomach when blood dripped from the fresh wound. A gush of warm liquid flowed down my legs.

As I collapsed into a pool of my own blood, I knew without a doubt that my pup was gone.

  • Losing Me and Our Pup to Find His Fated Mate   Chapter 9

Felix became an Omega of the Blackshadow pack. He was assigned the lowliest jobs in the estate, such as sweeping the floor, feeding the horses, and cleaning the restrooms. He didn't complain at all. On the contrary, he felt honored to be doing such lowly work. From his perspective, he was atoning for his sins. It was also a way for him to stay by my side.Every morning when I woke up, I would find a bouquet of wild flowers outside my door.Felix had given me the same flowers in the past when he was pursuing me.I didn't accept any of his bouquets. Instead, I would ask an Omega to throw them away every single time.Meanwhile, Ryan was incredibly annoyed by Felix's antics."That useless piece of trash hasn't given up yet?" Ryan asked as he hugged me. His voice took on a sour edge. "Should I cut out his tongue? Or maybe I should send him somewhere far away from here.""No need," I replied as I smiled and kissed his cheek. "Leave him here. Letting him witness our happiness is the be

Felix didn't give up his life. He was a selfish wolf, after all. However, he also didn't give up on seeking me out.Three days later, he showed up at the Blackshadow pack again with a bound Portia in tow.Felix didn't bring any warriors with him this time. He was alone as he dragged Portia along to kneel in front of the main building in the estate."I've brought the sinner here, Selena!" he shouted. "You can kill, torture, or do whatever you please to her! I just hope that you can forgive me!"Ryan and I stood by the window and quietly watched the commotion outside.Portia's hair was disheveled, and she was covered in injuries. It was obvious that she had suffered greatly in the last few days. She immediately started wailing when she spotted me."Save me, Selena! Felix has lost his mind! He wants to kill me! I was forced to do what I did. He's the one who forced me!"Although the situation had already come to this point, Portia was still trying to shift the blame to someone else

Selena's Point-of-View"No… This is impossible," Felix stammered as he stumbled to his feet and stared at me unblinkingly. "Why did you become somebody else's Luna? You betrayed me, Selena."I scoffed. "I dissolved our mate bond a long time ago. I'm the Blackshadow pack's Luna now, so you better watch your tongue, Felix, unless you want the Blackshadow pack to trample the Silvermoon pack into the ground."Felix's expression twisted in an instant as he clenched his fists. He didn't expect that I would become the Luna of the Blackshadow pack within the last three years.A wave of regret crashed over him. My position as the strongest warrior had been uncontested during my time in the Silvermoon pack. After becoming the Luna of the Blackshadow pack, I had elevated the pack to unprecedented heights. If he hadn't hurt me for Portia's sake, perhaps I would be his Luna.At that moment, Felix forgot about his fear of my immense power. Hints of envy and possessiveness shone in his eyes.

He became violent and irritable and would punish his subordinates over the smallest transgressions.Even the most loyal of warriors began to lose faith in him. Some even escaped and joined the Blackshadow pack."Those damned traitors!" Felix roared as he swept the documents off the desk. "What on earth did Ryan offer them?""Alpha…" Jason said carefully as he stood to the side. "Apparently, the Blackshadow pack has a new Luna. She's very powerful and is very skilled in training their warriors to fight. The warriors who left our pack and jo

I spat out a mouthful of blackened blood after I was done speaking and crumpled to the ground.Right before my vision turned completely dark, I heard a sigh."So, he's the wolf you chose to be your mate? You must have been blinded by love."I thought that I had died until I felt a burning energy surge through me, forcefully bringing me back to consciousness. My eyes flew open as I desperately gasped for breath. An unfamiliar ceiling filled my vision. The bright light shining from the extravagant chandelier that hung overhead hurt my eyes."You're awake."An unfamiliar but handsome wolf was sitting by my bedside, fiddling with the Moonstone that had broken into two halves."Where is this place?"I wanted to sit up, but my body felt as if it was being weighed down by lead."The Blackshadow pack," the wolf answered simply.I stared at his face, suddenly feeling as if I had seen him somewhere before. The wolf was the Alpha of the Blackshadow pack, someone who was feared by ever

I didn't die, but being alive felt like a fate worse than death.I didn't receive the treatment that I needed after I lost my pup. On the contrary, my body rapidly weakened after being forced to endure even more suffering.I was drowning in hopelessness as I was locked away in the dungeon.Felix refused to let me die. He gave me the best medicine that barely kept me alive. He told me that he was being kind, but I knew that he was only keeping me alive to make Portia happy.Portia visited me often while dressed in beautiful Luna robes and wearing my Moonstone necklace that sparkled brilliantly."Look, Selena. Your Moonstone necklace looks so good on me," she said as she kneeled in front of me and patted my face with her soft and smooth hands. "Felix told me that I'm the most beautiful she-wolf in the entire pack.""Scram," I spat weakly."Don't be so angry," Portia said with a laugh. "I came here today to share some good news with you. Felix and I will be having our mating ritual
