I left John just at the door and returned to meet dad upstairs. I can't believe dad hates John this much. Yes John had a bad lifestyle before but does it give dad any right to be this harsh to a fellow human? I don't think so. The thoughts continued to run through my mind.
I climbed the stairs as fast as I could and met dad sitting on the couch in the living room upstairs reading the bible as usual.
