George poured a cup of strong black coffee from the coffee maker. A fragrant aroma immediately wafted into the air, filling the room. He glanced at Valerie.

The woman was crying hysterically, her condition was so confused that George thought he should take Valerie to a psychiatrist. The incident earlier was probably too soul-shaking.

The sound of a car was heard in front of his house, making him immediately peek outside with caution. He sighed when he saw Charlotte who got out of the taxi. Before she knocked on the door, George had opened the door and greeted her.

“Where is Valerie?” Charlotte peered in trying to find. George tilted his body, letting her in.

“On the sofa, she fell asleep after crying for a long time.”

Charlotte stared at George in confusion. “What happened, George?”

“I can't explain it to you now,” George muttered sternly. “I just hope you can cheer up Valerie.”
