Mr Antonio's POV

As I lay down on the bed in my bedroom, resting, someone knocked on my door.

When I went to open the door, I saw Luis standing there, an indifferent expression on his face. I told him to come in and he did.

"Sir, I have news," Luis said once we were settled. His voice was tight with the weight of what he knew.

“Go ahead, I'm listening."

"I overheard Diego arguing with Adriana today. She told him... she told him that you were the one who killed your wife.”

My eyes widened and I coughed, almost choking on the water I drank, as it spilled on my clothes. I managed to control my emotions.

“Sorry, Sir. Are you alright?”

I paused, rubbing my chin. “And…. and what did Diego say about it?”

“He was surely not happy about what she said. I think he hit her because of that.”

I heaved and looked at Luis. His face remained passive, but a flicker of something unreadable passed through his eyes.

“And what do you think? Do you believe what she said?” I asked.
