Chapter 10

When Skyler woke up in the empty mansion that morning, he felt somewhat disoriented. He could barely remember how long it had been since he had last seen Jeanette. Ever since that encounter at the hospital, she seemed to have vanished from his world entirely.

After getting up, he noticed the walk-in closet was piled high with dirty clothes he had worn. The kitchen was even worse, with takeout boxes from several days ago still sitting around.

Skyler suddenly felt irritated at how Jeanette was pulling her disappearing act again.

Did she really think he would go easy on her like last time?
