Three Chances

PRESENT

"Get off me!" She yelled.

"What the hell! You're the one who suddenly jumped on me!" Thane ranted.

Elisia's face turned red. She was scared because of the turbulence and threw herself at him out of reflex. She was embarrassed but would never admit what she did to him.

She was the one on top of him, so she tried to stand up so she could get away from him. But her eyes widened when she felt something between Thane's thighs. Did he just have a hard-on? She thought inwardly.

She tilted her head and saw lust in his eyes. He was maliciously smiling at her, making her blush again.

“You perverted dog!" She yelled.

Thane frowned. "Did you just call me a dog? I'm a werewolf, you crazy demon!"

Elisia knew he was pissed, and she was happy about it. She wanted Thane to get annoyed with her, hoping he would let her go because of that.

"It's the same! You're hairy and have a tail like a dog, so there's no difference." She continued to annoy him.

Thane would never let anyone compare him to a dog. He suddenly wrapped his arms around Elisia, then rolled over to pin her on the floor.

Elisia was surprised. Thane was now on top of him, and his face was beginning to get closer to her. She bit her lips and didn't know what to do for a moment. She was a demon, but she had no experience with men. The only man she had a relationship with was Adrian.

They dated for one year before they got married. But during those times, they never even once kissed. She couldn't understand herself. She was happy with Adrian and felt she was madly in love, but she couldn't give herself to him.

Adrian didn't force her. He tried to convince her a few times, but she told him she wasn't ready. He respected her decision and decided he would wait until they got married.

Thane held her wrists on top of her head and continued getting closer. Her heart suddenly started pounding. If it was because she was nervous or scared of what might happen, she didn't know. She felt weak and stopped struggling. Will she allow this man to kiss her? Even Adrian had to wait for her.

No. She would not allow him to treat her like a plaything. Her first kiss should be with Adrian and not some random stranger she mistakenly returned to life.

She mustered her strength and then kicked him between his thighs with force. She felt his grip loosened and took that chance to get away from him.

"Jerk! Do you think I would allow you to kiss me? Pervert!" She yelled while looking at Thane, who was twitching in pain.

"You crazy woman! Why would you assume that I will kiss you? I don't like you. I have high standards for women! You're not my type!"

Thane stood up, still holding the part she had kicked. He had a very dark expression, and she knew he was still trying to control his temper.

"Three chances! I will give you three chances to kill me and return me to my grave. You will use your power every four months to turn back time. After three chances and you still failed, I will kill that man in front of you!" Thane yelled at her, then slammed the door to her face.

She didn't get the chance to talk back to him. Elisia knew that the werewolf king wasn't bluffing. He would kill Adrian if she failed.

She stared at the door as if she was glaring at Thane. She pouted, then turned around and walked to the toilet to pee.

"That bitch! Ugh!"

Thane kept on ranting inside the room. It was the first time a woman kicked him in the balls. He looked inside his underwear and then touched his thing, checking if it was okay.

'You found your match.' It was his wolf.

"Shut up! I don't need your opinion!" Thane shouted.

'Why do you always tell me to shut up? You will need my help when that time comes, and you know that. You could not avoid me forever.'

"I said shut up! If only I could pull you out of my soul, I would do it. I swear, we will both go back to where we belong!" He cussed.

Thane sat down at the bedside with gritted teeth and a clenched fist. He wanted to get rid of his wolf as soon as possible, but poisoning himself would not work anymore. The only one who could help him now was Elisia.

He sighed, then thought of the things he saw earlier when Elisia jumped into him. He pinned her down because he wanted to confirm something, but he didn't have the chance when she kicked him.

Why did he see Elisia's past when their bodies got closer? Was it one of her powers, too? What happened to Adrian? Elisia turned him back to life, but she was alone in her apartment when he met her.

Thane knew Elisia was hiding something. She called Adrian, her husband, but she didn't try to contact him when her sister gave her to Thane. Did her power fail her?

"This is vexing." He commented.

He stood up and then took a glass of wine to think. He rubbed his chin with one hand while taking a sip of his wine. He was trying to remember Elisia's past. And based on what he saw, Elisia lied to Adrian about her real identity. She told him she was a Terran. It seemed to him that Adrian was not her mate and that Elisia became impatient, so she just took one herself.

Thane could not blame her. Maybe she felt lonely, so when she met Adrian, she decided to keep him and promised not to let him go.

"I'm curious about you, Adrian. What did Elisia see in you that she had to turn back time just to be with you again? I will find you, and I swear I will punish you and that demon for ruining all my plans." He whispered with gritted teeth.
