The Werewolf King Part 1

"What did you do Elisia? You swore you would never use your power for your own desire! You know the consequences!"

She looked at her sister, Athanasia, disappointment was all over her face.

"What do you want me to do? Lock myself in the bedroom and mourn?"

"Yes! It was the natural thing to do in this realm. You cannot just use your powers to bring someone back to life!"

"Do you think I would just lie on my bed and cry then move on? I would never accept that my husband is dead. I'm here to ask for your help Athanasia. I did it because I love him so much. I can't live without him. Please help me. You're the only one who could understand what I've done." She said while looking at her sister with pleading eyes.

Athanasia took a deep breath then stood up and started pacing back and forth. When she stopped, she glanced at Elisia before looking at the man sitting beside her.

Elisia saw her sister sighed then looked at her again.

"If this is not your husband, then who the hell is he? Why are you with him?"

Elisia was about to answer but she was surprised when the man stood up and walked towards the mini bar. Athanasia, also confused with the man's gesture, gave her a warning stare.

The man took a bottle of wine, opened it then poured it on a glass before turning around to face the two sisters.

"I'm Thane Cromwel and I'm supposed to be dead. But that woman ruined everything so now I'm here, dragged by her because I want her to turn me back where I belong." The man said with gritted teeth, pointing his finger on the ground.

Athanasia was shocked by what she heard. She looked at Elisia, waiting for an explanation.

"Well, like what he said he's already dead. He's one of those who I returned back to life. He found out about what I did and looked for me." She simply answered.

"W-Wait. You said your name is Thane Cromwel. Are you the werewolf king?" Athanasia asked with a surprised face.

"Yeah. I am. Or I was." Thane answered.

"Oh my! I heard on the news that you died of poison. The werewolf clan was shocked. They mourned. I don't understand why you want my sister to put you back six feet under."

"There's a reason but I don't think you need to know about that. Besides, I don't trust you, especially her." Thane said, looking at Elisia with hatred.

Elisia felt chills at the back of her nape when Thane's eyes didn't leave her. As if he was observing her every move.

"I don't know much about your power Elisia. Can you just turn back to the day you used your power?" Athanasia asked.

Elisia was a bit disappointed with her sister. She thought Athanasia would understand and help her. But somehow, she understood what her sister wanted her to do.

"But if I do that, my husband will also die and besides my power has limitations. It takes time for me to use it again. I could still stop the time for a moment, but turning it back again would be hard."

"And when can you use it again? I need the exact date." Thane asked with a frown on his face.

Elisia bit her lips and sighed. "Well, I don't know. Maybe after a week, a month or a year. I was able to use it because I stopped using my powers thirty years ago."

"What? Are you kidding me? I've been waiting for so long already. Now you're telling me you're not sure when can you turn me back to my grave?" Thane shouted.

The sisters felt the power from just the werewolf king's voice. He didn't become the king for nothing. They said that his voice could actually make an entire army surrender.

Thane Cromwel is the nephew of the legendary alpha, Zion Sebastian Verlice, former Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack.

Athanasia knew Thane's uncle because he's married to her niece, Amaris. It's kind of complicated if Zion finds out about what Elisia did.

"Funny. You knew my Uncle and your niece is his wife, Aunt Amaris. Basically, we're family." Thane smirked.

"W-What? You're Zion's nephew?" Elisia asked in a nervous voice.

Thane felt that Elisia suddenly became anxious when she heard about his Uncle, and he was glad to know that the sisters were scared of someone.

"Yes. He gave me some of his powers when I took the throne. Maybe I should call him. We could ask them if they have a solution with our problem."

"No!" Elisia and Athanasia shouted at the same time.

That's when Thane knew he could use his Uncle to threaten Elisia.

"You should see the look on your faces. I didn't know you were so afraid of him. Oh! I know! He's one of the Elysian Elders now and he was the one who forbids using powers like yours, right? As punishment, you will either get exiled or die depending on the people affected by your power."

Elisia had mixed feelings towards Thane. She was anxious because if the Elysian Elders found out that she used her power, they could send her back to the Underworld or sentence her to die. At the same time, she was starting to hate the werewolf king. She just wanted to be with her husband without thinking that someone powerful would be involved in the process. But she knew she had no right to fight or argue with him. It was still her fault. It was her selfishness that caused a crack in time.

"Please don't tell Zion. I'll do anything to return you back into your grave. Just give me some time." She pleaded.

"Why can't we just kill you?" Athanasia asked, confused.

"If someone can kill me that easily, do you think I would be here? My death was planned a long time ago. I'm not someone you could kill just because you want to." Thane said.

Elisia couldn't understand what Thane meant. She didn't have any interest in anyone other than the man she loved. She was the only demon who wasn't involved in any war before.

On the other hand, Athanasia had a hint about Thane's words but she chose to keep quiet and didn't say anything to her sister.

She looked at Elisia. Her sister needs her, but she couldn't risk the safety of her family. She wasn't the Demon Princess who was once prophesied as the bringer of death anymore. She's now a wife and a mother. She loved Elisia so much, but she knew her sister needed to be punished until she accepted that what she did was wrong.

"I suggest you stay with my sister until she could use her power again and help you."

Elisia's eyes widened. She couldn't believe what Athanasia suggested.

"What the hell are you saying?"

"What? That's the only solution I can think of. Even if I don't say it, he won't let you off the hook after what you did. So you have to live together until you find a way to kill him again." Athanasia said in a serious tone.

"I can't live with another man. I have a husband." Elisia complained.

She heard Thane chuckling, amused by the women's argument. She glared at him, making the werewolf king become more interested.

"Sorry. I was just wondering how in love are you with your so-called husband that you had to do the forbidden just to save him. I hope he loves you just as much as you do."

Elisia knew that it wasn't a compliment. It was a sarcastic comment from the arrogant but handsome werewolf king.

"Yes! We swore to love each other forever! He's the only man for me!"

"I have no doubt about your love towards that Terran. I couldn't see an ounce of regret by what you did. I just hope that you're right about him. Because if not, I swear I will kill him and drag him to the Underworld. I will crush his head with my own hand and rip his heart out in front of you. That would be your punishment." Thane said with a dark expression.
