Chapter 13

Alice was completely drunk, and she wasn't the only one. All the men and women at the table were essentially intoxicated.

As her family, Clarice naturally had to take responsibility for getting her home safely. However, drunk Alice lacked the ability to stand on her own, and just lifting her from the private box took a lot of effort.

As a pregnant woman, Clarice didn't dare make big movements, and seeing her struggle, the waiter kindly helped her to the door and took her to the roadside.

It was already completely dark outside, and a few small stars could be vaguely seen in the sky, with the city being neon-lit and well-lit enough to overshadow the dimmer stars.

"I'm not drunk, I can still drink," Alice danced at the roadside while supported by Clarice.

"Alice, calm down, please, don't go crazy with alcohol," Clarice was helpless in response.

If she had known that Alice's alcohol tolerance was so low, she wouldn't have let her drink so much, and Clarice reached out to hail a taxi.
