CHAPTER FOUR

Hannah had in fact almost become a worker at Cora's workplace, which was the coffee shop she had passed by a few weeks ago when she went for the interview at the hotel. She wasn't so pained to have lost the job when in fact she had seen the poster even before Cora. At least, they were friends now, was her only words of encouragement.

"Not even a box of pizza?" Cora asked again before laughing out loud and now, Hannah herself had a smile at the corner of her lips.

"It wasn't even funny. I took a cab instead of the bus with the hope of being employed and you know how expensive the taxi is for a lady cutting down her expenses,"

"That's really brutal, to be frank. Totally unacceptable!" Cora muttered.

"Good morning. I would like a cup of cappuccino," a young lady came in with a bright smile and Cora smiled back at her before excusing herself to attend to her.

Hannah was sitting by the window side, her favourite spot at any place she found herself. She rested her head against the transparent window and with the corner of her eyes, she looked back and forth at her busy friend and the outside.

Soon, she directed her full focus to the outside where the hotel could be seen just by sitting at the spot she was.

Hannah saw a car. It was a usual car that always passed by the coffee shop to the hotel where it’d driven straight to the parking lot.

Hannah saw a car, it was a usual car that always passed by the coffee shop to the hotel where it’d drive straight to the parking lot.

She felt a little intimidated at how a person could have easy entrance to a place where she couldn't even secure a job. She thought for a second about how the car that had made the hotel a habitual place to be could be the CEO of the hotel.

Right then, a thought dropped into her mind and before she could stop herself, she brought out her hairpin from her purse and pinned her ponytail down with the hairpin.

She stood up from her seat, arranging her clothes well before trudging towards the doorway.

"Where're you going?" Cora who was prepping the coffee asked her over the counter.

"To get what's mine," was her short response before walking briskly away from the shop.

"Hannie!" she called after her but she got no response. The customer shot her a weird look for speaking over her coffee. "I'm sorry," she said, followed by an awkward smile.

Hannah walked as fast as she could toward the parking lot and right there, he saw two men in a black suit having a conversation. She nodded in contempt before sauntering closer to them.

"Good day, sir," she said in a low tone and it seems as though they didn't hear her, causing her to speak again. "Hello,"

The young man who had his back turned against her turned to face her and the other man's attention was now fully on her.

She was stunned at the appearance of this other nan who had just turned his face to her. He was drop-dead gorgeous beyond words of description.

He had prominent features that were so distinct from the other man standing in front of him. What made him even more attractive was his facial hair which was neatly groomed to the desired taste with his lashes standing out and making his eyes pop out for recognition and his brows neatly laid in the most attractive way and damn! His hair, brown with neat curls that seem a little damp but not too damp to drip down his face. Holy shit! His eyes, they were green and reminds one of nature.

But then, there was one more thing about this man...

"Hello," he waved his right hand in front of her eyes and that seems to do the trick by bringing her back to the real world that she had come into.

"Uhmmm, I guess I'd just excuse you, sir," the other man said with a slight bow and he looked at her before walking away.

One more thing about this man was that...

"Miss, who are you? Do you need some money?" he said as he fondled with his hand in his pocket.

Right there! Another thing about him was that he was so familiar that gradually, her mind was linking back to where she'd first met him. He was the asshole who had hit her and thrown some cash at her.

"You!" Hannah suddenly said with scorn before moving closer to him and doing the unimaginable, pulling the top of his suit.

"What? Excuse me, young lady! Get your hands off me now or I'd have you arrested!" he said in a loud voice before jerking her hands off him, letting her fall to the ground.

Hannah glared at him as she was still on the ground without saying any word to him.
