Chapter Twenty
Sal's earpod blasted Lewis Capaldi's "Someone you loved" as he plopped down on his bed with a deep sigh.
His dad had promised to stop by Care Bare Hospital on his way home but for that moment, Sal had the magnificent manor and all it's rooms and everything in it to himself.
He sat up on his bed after a few minutes apparently restless, trying to figure out what he had to do.
The businessman hadn't given him any instructions yet and it was killing him.Everywhere was quiet, too quiet and Sal thought he saw a shadow slink in the corner with his cornea when he'd pulled apart the drapes to let the sun reach in.
Hallucinations.He heard the sound of broken glass somewhere in the house and that startled him.
As much as he tried to believe everything was right, he knew things weren't.
He better stop this mind games.

It was Monday, three days after Leonard was nowhere to be found that Maisie was void of enthusiasm and entirely depressed. She still didn't have any idea where to start looking for her five year old brother.
