Loving on a borrowed time Larry was fixing his gaze on his desktop trying to decipher the numerical figures that were displayed on the spreadsheet in his ledger . He was looking nervous as he was struggling to balance the numbers that seemed to be confusing him every time he tried to look at them. He was having a meeting in a thirty minute's time. "Oh damn", he said as he was re-working on a same column that seemed to be giving him a hard time.Lucy his assistant, was standing on the other side of the office pretending to be busy with something. She was packing and unpacking a pile of books in a shelf opposite to Larry's desk. She kept reflecting her glances at him occasionally meanwhile sipping her coffee. She smiled a wicked smile and cleared her throat in an attempt to speak to him. " Seems like the past weekend has been hecting, judging by the way you are struggling to get things done around here", she said with a wide smile. 

Lucy the predator" Wow! If it's not the two love birds. Theo how are you darling? Lucy spread her arms to give a signal for a hug to Theodora. Theodora stood up and they met in the middle of the room and  hugged each other. Lucy was all smiles and she had already forgotten that she was all sombre earlier on. Mr CEO Larry was having a busy morning as usual. He had back to back meetings with the potential clients from different companies. He asked Lucy to re- schedule his diary for the following day so that he manage the intervals between the meetings. Lucy was over the moon. She could see her plans coming together. " Mr CEO is mine, nomatter what comes my way I will deal with it", she thought to herself. The memories of the previous weekend were replaying in her mind. The party she organised was a hit. They enjoyed themselves and Larry seemed to appreciate what she did for him and his fiancee. Little did he know that she was doing it for her gain.  She performed her daily duties with too much zeal that morning insomuch that she did not even noticed what time it was. She was not a drinking type though. She was that kind of girl who would drink her juice instead, even in big parties. But now Lucy had insisted she should take a sip.
