CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN

MICA'S POV

Lucan had a sour expression on his face as his car pulled over in front of the house. I knew he was angry but I pretended not to notice for fear that I might actually cave in to his demands.

I had asked him to let me stay at home for a while since we already knew who attacked me and she was already bedridden so there was nothing to be scared of anymore. Truth be told, I was in a lot of pain because of him and I wanted to use this opportunity to nurse myself back to health. I knew if he found out I lied about the pain he would never forgive himself.

Sighing softly, I turned towards him with a smile on my lips but rather he rolled his eyes at me without saying anything.

" I will get going now okay?" I said after a while but he was adamant and didn't say anything, just sitting there looking all angry and pretty,

" Lucan?" I called for the umpteenth time and he finally turned towards me.

" What?" He asked back feigning annoyance but I could see right through his facade, the mom
