Lucan's human bride

MICA'S POV.

I looked at my dad with tears in my eyes . How could he take away my video game because I refused to go and deliver some snacks to one of the major companies that patronized him? He knew that playing video games was one of the things I loved doing the most when I wasn't studying.

My name is Mica and I am Nineteen years old, a college student who had no meaning attached to life. I lost my mum when I was twelve years old and since then I have been living with my dad who meant the world to me, but right now it feels like I was going to change that notion because he was not giving me my video game back.

" Dad, don't be so mean" I said walking up to him,my puppy eyes always worked on him and I hoped it works this time.

" Look young lady, you will get your video game when you deliver the snacks, I cannot afford to offend them because I have nothing so please, be a good girl and have it delivered okay?" He asked in a sweet tone.

He just reminded me that we were from the lowest class In the society, we didn't have lots of money to throw around like everyone does but we were still a happy little family.

" Okay dad, I will have it delivered but make sure you don't break my game or I won't forgive you".

" Yes baby" he replied, I kissed him on the forehead and made my way outside the house.

The fifteen minutes drive from my house to the company was so exhausting for me, I could see lots of people going in and coming out of the company. Why wouldn't there? This was the biggest company in the whole of Seattle owned by one of the richest bachelors Lucan Lim, he was a man known by everyone because of the way he handled things. Rumors had it that he was the most ruthless man in the whole of Seattle and people found it hard to approach him but oh boy, he was handsome.

Sighing heavily, I made my way to the reception. I kept thinking why this Lucan Lim seemed to like my father's snack alot. Almost every day my dad had to deliver them to his office directly because from what I know, Lucan Lim never touches what has been touched by someone else.

" So bossy" I muttered under my breath as I walked to the receptionist, she was dressed so skimpily and I wondered if it was a protocol to dress like that In the office.

" I am here to deliver Mr Lucan's snacks to him".

She sized me up from my head to my toe and I felt like gouging her eyes out.

" The first office by your left on the twelfth floor" she replied and turned away from me to do her work, slowly I made my way to the lift. I have always been afraid of heights but what could I do In this situation when my video game was involved.

As I reached the office, I took three deep breaths before I knocked on the door. For a while the person Inside did not answer, i thought he or she didn't hear me so I wanted to knock again but I found the door opening by itself. Cursing myself, I walked into the well furnished office slowly. At first I took notice of all the details of the room and I was pleased, it was manly but still pleasant to the eyes, oblivious to the two pairs of eyes staring back at me, I was lost In my own world until I heard a Stern voice.

" Will you give me my snack or I should die of hunger?" The voice asked, it sounded hoarse yet very pleasant to my ears, I was taken aback for a while until I realized who just spoke, it was Lucan Lim and I just made a fool of myself in his office.

" I am really sorry sir. '' I said quickly and dropped the paper bag on his desk. I used that opportunity to see him from up close and I can say the papers and magazines didn't do justice to his handsomeness, he was far more pretty than what they portrayed him to be.

" Are you done staring?" He asked again with a raised eyebrow.

" Sorry sir" I replied quickly and ran out of the office forgetting to collect the payment for the snacks. As I got to the reception, I could feel my heart beating faster than usual, a part of me was lost in those pretty eyes and a part of me was happy to be away from that handsome devil. Oblivious of the fact that people in the building were staring at me and Wondering who this girl in simple shorts and shirt was all about, I boarded my bike and off I went. Nini must have to hear this, she has been my best friend from when I was two years old and we were practically like sisters, we shared everything including our secrets together. When she lost her virginity in our first year in college, I was the only person she told, so you can see how close we are right?.

My phone beeped and I saw it was a call from my father.

" Can't you allow me to get home before you start calling father?" I asked myself as I answered the call, " hello dad".

" Hope you did not forget to collect the payment?'' he asked from the other end and my eyes opened wide in horror. Because of my clumsiness I forgot to take the payment, now I still had to go back to the office where I embarrassed myself a few minutes ago. Climbing down from my bike, I made my way to his office again, even if I was embarrassed not like we would see each other after today so I will just collect the payment and leave, that was what I thought as I marched towards his office.
