Chapter 3

Kate returned to the living room, she approached Nicole and Nicole told her to sit near her, for Nicole there was no distance between the two of them as well as with the other maids, Nicole did treat them like friends rather than maids.

"Kate," Nicole said.

"Yes ma'am," Kate said.

"There are only two real rules that you have to do when you are in this house, first, you have to cook at 6 am and finish at 7 am, after that you have to return to your room and at 9 am you can only leave your room to clean this house. Second, you only serve me, that means everything I order you have to do, and only me. Your task is not difficult, you will share the task with Raya to clean this house, but for cooking you have to do it yourself. Oh yes, i have lunch at 1 pm and dinner at 7 pm, you may be in this area until 6 pm, after that you may only be in the kitchen or your room, is there anything you want to ask? before i explain anything else ?" Nicole said.

"I better listen to all the explanations before I ask," Kate said.

"Okay, there's a reason why you can't meet my Alpha, the reason is simple, I'm a very jealous person, I trust my Alpha but I don't easily trust other women, moreover my Alpha is very rich and I'm sure many Omega are after him, It's not that I doubt my own maids, it's just that I don't want to provoke things I'll regret later, you understand?" "It's okay, I assume you understand and accept all terms and conditions from me, congratulations again Kate, you can go back to your room and rest before preparing dinner for me and Matt," Nicole said.

"But ma'am, I didn't bring my clothes, I also haven't told my mom that I'm not coming home today, I'm afraid she's worried, can I come back here tomorrow? I mean, I'll make dinner for you and after that I'll go back to my house, tomorrow morning before 6 am, I'll be here, I promise" Kate said.

"Are you sure you can come here before 6 am?" Nicole said.

"Yes ma'am I don't want my mom waiting all night because I'm not coming home" Kate said.

"Hmm what if you come after 8 am? I just don't want you to be in a rush. It's okay, tomorrow morning I will make my own breakfast, I often do that," Nicole said.

"Is that okay?" Kate said.

"Yes, of course, your mother is more important than anything," Nicole said and Kate just smiled, she is lucky to get a good and understanding employer like Nicole, she hopes by working with them, she can help her mother's medical expenses, at least her mother can be at hospital and under the supervision of a doctor.

After cooking dinner, Kate went home, she saw her mother waiting for her in the living room, her mother turned and welcomed Kate with a beautiful smile on her face.

"I'm home" Kate said, she walked over to her mother and kissed her on the cheek.

"How? Did you get accepted to work there?" her mother said.

"Yeah, it's all thanks to you mom, thank you, I promise I'll take you to the hospital and get you well, because you need to get better" Kate said, she held her mother's hand tightly.

"Kate, I should be the one thanking you, I have troubled you all this time, I don't have much savings, you must had a hard time using that money all along, you don't have to think about me, seeing you happy will prolong my life," her mother said.

"Mom, don't say that, you make me sad when you think about that, I'm glad you did, tomorrow I'll be back there, they asked me to stay there, I'll ask Aunt Mia to accompany you and look after you here while I'm not there," Kate said.

"Mia must be busy, that's okay, I can do everything myself, just work, don't mind me, I'm fine," her mother said.

"I love you mom," Kate said.

"I love you too my Kitty" Her mother hugs Kate tightly, they only have each other, Aunt Mia is her next door neighbor, she is the closest to Kate and her mother. They are like family, Aunt Mia is not married, she is a Beta, she says it is difficult for her to find a partner at her age that is not young anymore, but she doesn't care about that, she is happy alone.

The next day

Kate prepared one last breakfast for her mother before she left for the mansion, she ate facing her mother at the small dining table in the house. The food was simple, that morning Kate only made pancakes with chocolate syrup. But it looks so delicious when Kate cooks it.

"Kate," her mother said.

"Is there an Alpha there?" her mother said.

"Yeah, Mrs. Nicole apparently is married to an Alpha, his name is Mr. Matthew, but Mrs. Nicole said I'm not going to meet him, those are the rules" Kate said.

"Ah thank goodness, I'm also worried that if you work with an Alpha, then what about your Alpha?" her mother said.

"Who? Mike? I told you he's a Beta" Kate says.

"So what? Beta and Omega can be together too." Her mother said.

"He's my best friend mom, I'm not his type anyway," Kate said.

"But do you like him?" her mother said.

"Mom can you please stop talking about him? his ears burn if we talk about him like this," Kate said and her mother just smiled. Her mother knew that there was something between Kate and Mike. It's just that it's their business, whether what kind of relationship they have, friends or more than that.
